Very attractive fully furnished, two bedroom apartment in "Mesdag kwartier" location: in between Peace Palace and Royal Stables; 5 minutes walk to city center and 10 minutes by car (15 by bike or tram) to beach.

Layout:
Joint entrance on streetlevel, stairs to first floor, spacious hall, toilet, kitchen with cooking facilities, washingmachine, dishwasher, refrigerator etc., access to balcony.
Spacious masterbedroom, ensuite bathroom with shower.
Living/study/bedroom with high windows.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Ric’s apartment. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped. The neighborhood is lovely with lots of restaurants and bars just a few steps away. Moreover, Ric is a great host: he gave us a lot of tips for our stay in Den Haag and made us feel more than welcome. We hope we can come back soon!

Ric was flexible and informative. Nice kitchen set up and good food close by. Comfortable beds. We took an Uber from the train station but metro tram stop close by. Easy travel to beach and surrounding towns. Lovely neighborhood

We loved staying in Ric's apartment. It was clean, cosy, and spacious for a family of 4. The location is hard to beat - in a relaxed neighbourhood, with nice restaurants on the doorstep, and only a stone's throw from the forest on the way to the beach. Ric is a local and was incredibly welcoming - he was flexible to be there when we arrived, and then gave us loads of tips on the area, restaurant and bike hire suggestions, etc. A very different experience to so many property hires, where you no longer see anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our sunny few days in the city, we cycled up to Wassenaar twice and made it to Keukenhof and Duinrell. The children were very happy too. We couldn't recommend Ric's place more highly.

Great location and walkable to lots of restaurants and transportation options. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The apartment is the American second floor/European first floor of a house, with the owner on the top floor. Both the the toilet and the kitchen are outside of the apartment (sink and shower are inside). Ric was friendly and very helpful. There is some noise from the street in the front room, but the back room is very quiet.

Wonderful apartment and location in the Hague! New front windows and shades! Black out curtains. Host is incredibly kind and helpful — gave useful information and ideas for the area and Amsterdam. Very comfortable beds, nice full kitchen, warm clean shower. Location is 5 minute walk to multiple restaurants and shopping. Close to beach. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment is in a great location and Ric is very welcoming. Apartment very clean. When we booked the text of the website still referenced characteristics of the second floor apartment, which was rented in the past. Now Ric lives upstairs but you have good privacy downstairs. There is, however, no Terrasse and you need to pass through the second room to get to the shower or toilet. Steep stairs to get to the apartment, as common in the Netherlands.

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week. The location is great! We biked from here all over the Hague, the beach a few times, and to Delft. The kitchen is well-stocked. A hint for those sleeping in the living room- the street lights are bright so bring an eye mask if that bothers you. The hosts are very welcoming and available if you need them.

The Apartment was awesome. It was very clean and spacey. Its perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. And the location is great because it is really close to the center of the hague.

Excellent Location, great owner

We had a lovely time using this as a home base for our trip to The Hague. We had some early hiccups due to a very delayed flight but Ric was responsive and easy to get a hold of whenever we needed to. The location of the apartment is amazing, 10 out of 10 walkability score. Tons of cafes, restaurants, grocery, shops and parks nearby. The street is very quiet at night and easy to navigate to. We only needed to use transportation to get to the Louwman museum, we walked to everything else. Wonderful carafe style coffee maker made mornings enjoyable too. My only complaints are that I wish there was a handbook to make operating the washer a little easier and the furniture is a bit dated and not as comfortable as we had hoped (beds excluded). Beyond that, we enjoyed our stay and loved the city.

Our family was cozy and comfortable in this apartment with a nice kitchen, dining room, a roof patio. The neighborhood is quite with a circle at the end of the block filled with restaurants and coffee shops. Palaces, museums and major shopping areas are within a reasonable walk or any easy bus/tram ride. Ric was helpful but not intrusive.

We enjoyed a stay at this property in December but hadn’t realised what a bright sunny apartment it is. The roof terrace is a lovely place to sit and listen to the Peace Palace Carillon. As on our previous stay, the apartment was clean and well equipped.

The apartment was very comfortable for a family of 5. It was very warm and comfortable during the cold nights and fully equipped. The location was excellent: near to a grocery store, the tram lines, nice places for lunch and dinner and 10 minutes walk to the center of The Hague.

We had a lovely stay. The flat is well equipped and we were able to cook and entertain family, who live locally, comfortably. We were staying during a cold spell of weather and even though we didn’t take advantage of the log fire, the flat was warm. It would be nice to stay when the weather is good enough to be able to make use of the roof terrace although on a clear frosty morning the view across the roofs is striking.

We loved our stay at Ric's home in The Hague! 5 of us stayed and appreciated how close it was to restaurants, pubs, a grocery store, the Peace Palace, and parks. The beach was a short drive away, and was a great way to spend the afternoon. Ric's home was clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the roof-top patio was a huge hit for our group. We loved watching the sun go down with a view. Would love to return someday to The Hague, and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much, Ric.

My guests were I their early 80’s. They are in reasonable shape for their age. They were not able to safely manage the two flights of steep stairs up to the apartment each with a sharp turn as you ascend. What was particularly disappointing is we had enquired ahead of booking if the stairs were challenging and had been assured that they were not. In the end we ended up staying in this rental property and our guests stayed in our home where the stairs were safer to use.

The apartment is cozy and has all the basics you would need. Living room is spacious, kitchen is functional and modern, the main floor bedroom is nice. Separate toilet from bath-shower was convenient for the 5 of us. Toilet sink very small. Bathtub is large, water pressure quite low. The upstairs bedroom is adequate although the third bed needs a better mattress. Linens and towels need upgrading. Rooftop deck is awesome, weather permitting. Ric was punctual. The only concern for some are the steep, narrow stairs, both up to the apartment and in the apartment. Overall, a great place for 2-3 people.

We had four quiet nights in this fine, well-equipped apartment close to the Hague's wonderful museums and to the beach. In sunny mid-October we ate lunch one day on the sun terrace looking out over the roofs and spires of the city. Perfect for a couple but with room on a second floor for more. Big windows, comfortable furniture, friendly neighbours and a prompt, welcoming owner. If not already booked, it'll be our top pick when we're next in the Hague.

Gezellig appartement op een prima locatie. Op loopafstand van het centrum van Den Haag, maar in een rustige buurt. Superleuk pleintje met eettentjes om de hoek. Lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening. Na een dag in de stad is het fijn thuiskomen in het appartement dat van alle gemakken is voorzien en waar een goed bed op je wacht. Mede dankzij de tips van de hartelijke eigenaar hebben wij een geweldig weekend gehad!

We stayed for a week in this stylish apartment located in a quiet and elegant neighborhood, just 10 minutes walk from the center of Den Hague. We were two, but we could be five and it would be fine. Living room is wide and comfortable, kitchen has all the most modern appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hairdryer, flat iron) and all you can need. Ric was always helpful and kind: you feel really free and like at home !
