We enjoyed our stay. The good: immaculately clean, comfortable seating and beds, well appointed kitchen, the elevator, close to shopping and transportation, washer/dryer and drying rack and great lighting. I'm really picky about lighting and most of the short term rentals we've stayed at have had horrible or so-so lighting. Almost all the lighting had dimmers, a huge plus in my book. We were just down the block from a tram stop, but we could also easily walk to many restaurants and shops. There is a nice view of the canal out front. In the evenings it was very quiet. The heads-up information. Even though there are two ensuites, they only have showers and sinks, not toilets. There is only one toilet in the apartment. It's in the hall by the entry door. There is no heat in the little toilet room, so we kept the door open so we didn't freeze. Also, there is no hot water in the toilet room, either. As an American we are used to washing our hands with warm or hot water. BTW, this is not uncommon in The Netherlands. We came across bathrooms in restaurants without hot water, it's a common Dutch thing. Even though we were all wearing multiple layers, we were quite chilly in the apartment. The thermostat has a motion sensor and it reverts back to the low setting while watching tv if no one walks by the thermostat. Also, there is no A/C if you rent in the summer. We were given a welcome package that had things for the kitchen like dish liquid, dishwasher tabs, sponge and cloths. We only got one little hand soap for each ensuite, which meant we had to go buy a soap for the toilet room. There are also no napkins, so you'll need to buy paper towels or some paper napkins, if you eat there. A couple of the kitchen cabinet doors need some attention. We were also only given two large garbage bags, we could have used one more. There is also no laundry detergent provided. The final note was the construction noise. I think it was in the building next door and they start early, like 7 in the morning, even Saturday. I know that seems like a long list of negatives, but none of them were deal breakers, just things to be aware of. The check in went very smoothly. We called the number given and were able to get in the building and meet up to get the keys and a quick intro to the apartment. The gentleman we met with was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good experience.

We had an excellent experience staying at Maurits location. The flat was well appointed, very comfortable, close to restaurants, great walking around area, not in the tourist area, and very helpful staff. I recommend BizStay to anyone. We will return again next time in Holland.
