ESTIMAR Calpe Apartments

Location was excellent beside beach, restaurants, supermarket, etc. The reception staff were lovely on the first day.

The check in process was VERY LONG/SLOW, they did apologise repeatedly but apparently it always takes that long. The apartment was very good but there was far too much furniture in the compact bedroom which meant squeezing past a tallboy/chest of drawers each time one leg at a time. It had a tv placed (somewhat precariously)on top of it - it wasn't possible to move it as there was no where else to put it. The staff were smiley but not particularly helpful of friendly (apart from the one on the first evening). The check in and out times seemed late and early, 6pm and 10am. The have written on their website and on the page they issue at check in that they are happy to arrange late checkout where possible. Our flight was delayed so we asked if it would be possible to check out 1-2 hours later (and pay of course) and were told a flat no, without them even checking the system. We were treated poorly, as if asking was wrong, despite it being written everywhere. The food is good but the dining hall is huge and busy and apparently we were not entitled to the seats with the fabulous view - we asked over the week if we could book, pay extra, arrive earlier/later but we were told they were 'not for you.'

Apartments in need of modernisation and felt was very expensive

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was amazing, clean spacious 2 bathrooms, small kitchen fully equipped. Hotel was very modern and beautiful. Reception staff were super nice and friendly, people at the pool bar were amazing so friendly and welcoming. One man especially nice i didn’t get his name but he was always in good mood and so welcoming and friendly he always started his shift at 1.30 and I think he is a manager of the pool bar wow this man needs a raise he was so nice and kind:) There is a rule at the pool that if your sun lounger is unoccupied for 20 min you lose your spot, best rule ever. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing and food at the pool bar was pretty great too! Nothing but good experience, we came with elderly parents and everyone had nothing but great experiences. Also the pool at the 9th floor has some amazing views and a little bar if you get “thirsty” also the cocktails at the hotel were great too!! Definitely recommend it 🩷

The staff are very helpful and friendly , it’s a really beautiful hotel.
