Good central location, great restaurant next to hotel
Had to wait in the car for reception to open but we did know it opened at 4 o’clock and we were early.

Lovely hotel bursting with character and French charm, right in the centre of Langres. Secure parking at the back & dog friendly. Great for a stop over going back to Wales from the South of France.
Nothing apart from the false fire alarm at 23.00!!!

Wonderful rooms (we had 3). The suite in particular was wonderful overlooking the square. Lovely town to stay in. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended

Location is fantastic and it has a secure car park.
We had a first floor room but there were lots of stairs (up and down) to access it and there was no lift. This amused us but others might not think it so funny.

Smallish room but to be expected in quirky old building. Plus bathroom was large and well equipped including huge walk in shower etc. Secure parking with separate access door very useful. Staff helpful and great breakfast.
Not sure if the main gate to car park was actually locked overnight.

Lovely old building but all the mod cons you need
The front rooms of the hotel face a small but busy square in the evenings. Some stay drinking at the tables very late. The acoustics of the square amplifies the sound. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep without good ear plugs. Ask for a rear facing room . It’s a shame as there is obviously nothing they can do . They don’t own the bar next door

Fabulous location. We have been staying at this hotel for many years and have always found it to be excellent.

All excellent. Charming hotel, "old fashion French" style rooms. Very good breakfast.
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel is a lot more modernised now and it feels like a 3star hotel and not the dreary, creaking old style leftover from the early 20th century, when it was probably elegant.
A fre alarm bell was triggered at 22.15. Most of us went downstair and waited for further instructions. Nothing. After 10 minutes the alarm stopped and guests moved back inside. Up to this point no hotel staff member had checked rooms- at least one old man had not bothered to leave his room - and no-one had spoken to guests or given an official all clear to return to rooms. THEN a further 10 minutes later the alarm rang again. STILL no hotel staff on hand apart from some woman moving up and down the stairs talking to a male on her phone, whilst ignoring guests. At this point only a few had evacuated their rooms and there was no accounting for any who had chosen to remain and ignore the alarm. When it finally stopped ringing, once again guests just ambled back in without clearance or guidance. What is this hotel's strategy for a fire alarm being set off? How can one receptionist deal with such an emergency, no matter how good, bad or indifferent her training and skill. This hotel needs to be investigated for a breech in safety standards and shut down until strict procedures are put in place. What happened on the evening of 13rg July 2025 was an absolute disgrace and I demand a full refund as my wife and I spent the night in lost sleep waiting for the nexy alarm to be set off. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE AND A DANGER TO GUESTS' SAFETY.

Amazing choice of food for breakfast!

Bed was comfortable, whilst bathroom and location were great.
No air on - room was stifling.
Having to pay for parking - why not just include in overall price?
Breakfast was OK, but element of meanness - pre-cut and platted slivers of cheese and two slices of salami. need cloches on pastries as there were flies.
Overall decor somewhat bizarre. And bedroom was a pet peeve - awful grey.
Separate WC (to bathroom) needs a WHB.

Very good location. Good size room.
The room was hot and the floor standing unit just moved the hot air around.
The shower riser rail fitting was broken and the WiFi didn't work.

The location was good.
Breakfast was ok, not what we call value for money. But adequate.

Very pleasant, older style hotel. Well positioned for visiting Langres. Excellent breakfast, including boiled eggs. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. There were no taxis ( on strike ) or busses to the railway station on our departure. One of the receptionists, very kindly, took us to the station.
There is no lift, which may be difficult for some.
Please be aware that Langres Railway Station is at the bottom of a fairly steep Hill. There were no buses or taxis available (see above) on a Sunday afternoon when we arrived. This meant a 2 km walk uphill to the town. This is not a criticism of the hotel but is a consideration if travelling by rail as we were.

A small hotel with few very nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. Just in the middle of the city, nearby everything. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. They renovated at the moment, but it wasn’t affecting our stay.
