The staff were very welcoming. The room was large and the bathroom spacious. We liked the vintage cars and the proximity to Santillana
We were really looking forward to the spa which was closed. We had booked this hotel because of this facility and on booking had received a lengthy email explaining how it worked and how book in. We were told when we arrived that it was closed. I think any hotel which calls itself a spa should have one available or should make it very clear in the initial booking that this is not the case. We would probably have stayed elsewhere. The breakfast on the first day was pretty poor. We were in the last sitting and we followed a large coach party so not much was left and what there was was cold. The wifi was so unreliable we had to use phone data for communications/streaming as required.
