About this house rental
Villa Gisella A is a bright apartment which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps three people. It is approximately 70 square meters (750 square feet). It features a nice private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the center of Praiano, approximately 100 meters (330 feet) from restaurants, shops and the SITA bus stop. You will find the closest beach (Spiaggia della Gavitella) at roughly 500 meters (550 yards) including 400 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Gisella A from the street level going up approximately 90 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Gisella A. If you do have one, you will be able to park it at approximately 800 meters (880 yards), in a reserved covered parking space, in a fenced yard.
Villa Gisella is an independent house built on a stretch of coast which descends towards the sea. It is part of an old area of Praiano, right in the center of the town and a few feet away from shops, restaurants and bars.
From the terrace, you can enjoy a splendid 180-degree view of the sea and the coast. You will be able to admire the whole fascinating arch-shaped coast where Positano is nestled. Your eyes will meet, far in the horizon, Capri with its famous Faraglioni (stacks – vertical columns of rock in the sea near the coast) and the small Li Galli islands just a little closer.
The terrace will be your favorite place to have meals outdoor while admiring wonderful sunsets over the sea.
From Villa Gisella, you can reach the sea by either taking a bus or walking until the beach "della Praia", about 1 km (about 0.6 mile) away. You can also climb a long stairway (about 400 steps) which leads to a graciously small beach called ‘’La Gavitella’’ placed in an inlet enclosed by rocks.
During spring and summer the beaches are equipped with establishments and restaurants. Several beaches have small boats which take you to numerous and enthralling small beaches along the coast. Don't miss the chance of going on those trips! From Praiano, you can easily reach the beaches of Positano and Amalfi by bus.
Terrace
The terrace is 40 square meters (430 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic pergola. It is equipped with a small sofa and two armchairs, as well as with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella, deck chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coastline.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: final cleaning; electricity; linens; towels.Available upon request: baby bed. Tourist tax, paid locally: From March 1 to November 3: EUR 2.50 per person per night for the first 7 nights. Guests aged under 10 are exempt. Refundable security deposit paid cash upon arrival: EUR 150 (it is returned to you at check-out).
Living Room 1
The furnishings of the living room are simple and comfortable. The furnishings include three armchairs. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!) and a kettle. There is also a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the large terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through two double-glazed French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Living Room 2
You will be able to enter the second living room through a corridor. The furnishings include a divan bed for one guest and a desk. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a double-glazed French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom
You will be able to enter the bedroom through a corridor. The bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm/71 inches). The furnishings include two armchairs. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom through a corridor.

A wonderful apartment! Very clean, quiet and I cannot say enough about the views!
The terrace is just the most beautiful spot where we spent much of our time. We did not need an indoor living space! And a warm chocolate cake lowered down to us was just the cherry on top!
Summer In Italy is a great place to book.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful patio. We lived out there whenever we were home. Nice quiet location with amazing views. Yes, some stairs, but not bad at all. Very clean with everything we needed for our stay.

Villa Gisella A is a perfect property to us. The view on the terrace is unforgettable, it overlook the sea with Positano in view. We have breakfast every morning and watch all the yachts sails by. In side the house, it is very comfortable and super clean.
Adriana [the owner] stocks everything you can think of from pots and pans for you to become a gourmet cook, and enough dishes for you to throw a party! Adriana is a very kind and a welcoming host. The airline lost me luggage for two days. Adriana helped me to make contact, she even went out of her way to drove to Positano and pick up my luggage. WE are thankful for her help.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Villa Gisella A to anyone who want to come and visit the Amalfi Coast. Just to mention to get to the villa it is 90 steps up. It can not be avoided but it is worth it, after all Amalfi Coast is build on cliffs!!

We loved our stay at Villa Gisella A. The most spectacular thing about it is the unparalleled view from the terrace. This is the most understated feature of the property in the write-ups. From the terrace you can view the mountainside of the Monti Lattari chain, including an excellent view of hikers on the Path of the Gods. One can view the entire harbor of Positano, all of the boats, the beach, and the entire town which is absolutely gorgeous, especially when lit at night. Finally, the island of Capri is in plain view from the terrace, separated by water from the tailing coast.
We would recommend Villa Gisella A to anyone who prefers a realistic and authentic visit to the Amalfi Coast, its beautiful views and completely charming local people!
Adriana [the owner] was wonderful to us, and we feel we have a new friend in Italy! We simply loved our stay.
I will say that Summer In Italy was very thorough once our trip was booked.
