In addition to the maintenance service of the village, it also guarantees the presence of the owners in the vicinity who can fulfill any request that may arise during the stay.
The accommodation is set in the beautiful and refined scenery of Borgo San Basilio, made up of Mediterranean-style houses inspired by the ancient and picturesque fishermen's villages due to their spontaneous architecture. The village is immersed in the tranquility of vast meadows, interspersed with plants of all kinds, tall trees, paths and walkways and also offers a vast opportunity of choice as animations, shows, baby dance and physical activities in the pool (available from 1 July to 31 August), tennis courts and five-a-side football fields. Near the village there is a sea with crystal clear water, with the pine forest close to wide sandy beaches. The beaches of Marina di Pisticci are characterized by a wide variety of choices: from the most commercial beaches with equipped lidos, to less crowded beaches that still preserve the natural charm of the past; all however easily reachable and with depths accessible to families with small children, so much to be recommended by the Italian paediatricians' association.
A few minutes away there is a Cortequestre "San Basilio" riding school, for relaxing horse rides, the Riva dei Tessali Golf Club, with 2 18-hole courses. Still inside the village you can find yourself talking in the quiet and welcoming square where there are numerous types of shops, supermarkets, bakery, butcher's, rotisserie, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, boutiques (open until 10 September). For any type of purchase, however, reference can be made to the nearby center of Marconia.
The village is located in the heart of Magna Graecia and in a strategic position to start interesting excursions such as: METAPONTO and POLICORO relevant archaeological sites and the latter also known for a WWF wildlife oasis; MATERA, capital of culture, now known throughout the world for its `Sassi`; a valid alternative to the sea can be the splendid and superb massif of POLLINO with its national park, where it is possible to let go in the woods of the massif, to carefree walks to discover native animal and plant species, as well as the uses and traditions typical of the place. Or why not, try the thrill of the FLIGHT OF THE ANGEL in the heart of Basilicata, tied together with a steel cable between the peaks of two villages, Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa. Near these villages rises Brindisi di Montagna where in the incomparable natural scenery of the Parco della Grancia it is possible to take a journey back in time to the roots of the rural world. The costumes, the typical products, the ancient crafts, gathered in a theme park, give life to a festive rural atmosphere, where street artists, equestrian rides, musical concerts, brigand camps, surprising itineraries, revive the spirit of a past era.
