Pleasant & peaceful.

Beautiful peaceful location. Unit clean & pleasant.

False advertising as to amenities available - no reception (no staff sighted), no restaurant or common area, no bath. No ability to buy any foodstuffs on that side of the island (which would have been fine if we'd known in advance.) An iron & ironing board would have been helpful. Didn't like having an idol in loungeroom. Couldn't work out how to use the set top box & tv combination.

1or 4 have views, great to have when stuck inside from high wind

The room we were allocated was tucked in back with NO view but at an additional $700 we were moved to the front to unit 1. This met our expectations, albeit it was next to the expected restaurant, which was CLOSED PERMANENTLY, so trips to the opposite side of King Island to procure food to self cater. Our unit was fantastic, 2 bdrm large living with open view to ever changing ocean. However, for $325 night I would have expected, dishwashing detergent, tissues, paper towel, a vegetable peeler OR perhaps a coffee machine as nearest coffee shop is 30 min drive. Our friends, paying less just down the road at KING ISLAND ACCOMMODATION COTTAGES had all these PLUS A BBQ , A FIRE PIT, A MAGNIFICENT outdoor eating area with onsite hosts catering to every need.

Lack of expected amenities, no restaurant as a beautiful building was sitting idle. A coffee machine could have filled that gap a little. I should have been more thorough in my search when booking We didn’t want tv anyway but it wasn’t set up. Usually there’s dvd, books etc available for those stormy days.

Straight across from the beach and just a short walk to a great fishing jetty.

There is no shops at all on this side of the island so get your supplies before you come.

Relaxing de-stressing days in Naracoopa

Location opposite beach Rooms comfortable and clean Had a makeover which was greata nice bathroom and kitchen. Needs to be advertised more

Lack of service had to call after 5 days to get towels and bed change. A lot of things had to do ourselves. do a temporary clothes line, hammer in some nails in the fence that was banging all night. Stayed here 10 years ago and have really missed the restaurant and hotel service. Hope it gets going again

Amazing little piece of Tassie, we had a wonderful adventure and the locals are super friendly! :)

The staff were amazing, Meagan and her girls were so very helpful with every little request and went over and beyond to make us feel happy and welcome. Her burgers were amazing too! It was easy to get to Baudins our car was waiting at the airport on arrival, we had time to pick up cheese & goodies and beer tasting at Brewery on the way. The manager Heather was lovely, we met toward the end of our stay. We had an amazing time on King Island, explored the whole island over 5 days and Meagan was very helpful in recommendations of places to go and eat. Due to the quiet nature of the island, I recommend to be organised as some places only open certain nights so eating out is not very easy unless you book ahead! :) Our top 10 must do's on the island... KI Dairy Cheese Tasting, KI Brewery Beer Tasting, Grassy Penguins, Cape Wickham Lighthouse & Cape Wickham Golf Club, Martha Lavinia Beach, Yellow Rock Beach & Shipwreck, Currie Boathouse & Harbour Sunset, KI Bake House, Oleada Restaurant, British Admiral Beach, Calcified Forest... (There's More!)

A few teething issues in the beginning of our stay, no fault of the staff and they certainly made up for it and treated us so well. No Wifi was strange, this may be the only place on the island that doesn't provide it, however we did fine without it as we were out exploring most of the time anyway! Some fishing gear would be a bonus as there is a jetty across the road that is recommended to be a great fishing spot.

Definitely coming back!

Very comfortable stay right by the beach, single room unit was perfect size for singles or couples. Impressive views out over the ocean with great sunrises. Meals served Thurs - Sun, food was great with nice bar/dining areas. Hosts are awesome people and very helpful. Recommended stay.

Fantastic location with wonderful view of the Naracoopa esplanade and the water. Great bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds, with quality linen and towels. Friendly, accommodating staff. Two minor downsides: 1. There are no cupboards to hang clothes in either bedroom. 2. The windows were a bit dirty from sea/salt spray, and would have made looking out at the view nicer if cleaned.

Sunrise ocean

Nice accommodation, with sufficient space, clean and modern bathroom with heat lamps and fan and full towel set, clean and comfortable bed linen (with a rare distinction, a proper blanket envelop!) Kitchen is sufficiently equipped and tea bags, salt, tea milk are provided. Location is nice with a glimpse of ocean and nice walks immediately nearby. Extremely quiet at night. The rating is perhaps 8.5 but no possibility to put that in unfortunately.

I would wish for wine glasses and more cooking knives, and for recycling collection. Having internet would be great (there is none). Note: as already pointed by some commenters, indeed there are a few ridiculously negative reports on this property from some commenters — those can be safely neglected; these were perhaps from some golf players aiming for 5-star all-inclusive resorts, or so.

I would not recommend this accommodation to anybody. We should get a refund.

It was clean.

There was no breakfast, no milk for coffee, no Shampoo /Conditioner. There was no person on site. We had to ring offsite for Towels which arrived 45 minutes later. There was no key to the accommodation therefore no security if you left the property. We were told on booking the accommodation that we could get a meal at their facility. Apparently, not supplied on a Wednesday night. Had to drive to Currie and back (1 hour).

the cabins were clean tidy and the cleaner/ maid was very helpful , with out her help we would have left and found some where to stay in Curry.

Although no shops or cafes in Naracoopa, it adds to the King Island experience.

I stayed in one of the four cottages on site. It's perfect for a solo traveller like myself or for a couple. Fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed with nice linen and it is spotlessly clean. The room and property surrounds might be basic and a little outdated, but it adds to the ambience of the serenity and isolation of the area. It's disappointing the restaurant has closed down (apparently will reopen for summer 2023) because there's nowhere else to eat in Naracoopa; you'll need to head to Grassy or Currie but they're only around 15-20 minutes drive away (26km). The stars at night are incredible and it's so nice to hear the waves at the beach from the room.

The cabins were not as they was advertised The idea of lighting the gas cooktop with matches is beyond words The cabins were not clean especially the shower The so called laundry room was disgusting dirty and unkept No one answered our calls upon arrival it took 20 mins to get through to someone The gentleman in one cabin tried to call 12 times and eventually checked himself in

Lovely location. Neat and tidy inside and kitchen set up with standard size oven with hotplates, microwave, kettle etc. Plenty of kitchen utensils. As clean as it could be, given normal wear on a property of its age. well kept grounds.

The staff responded promptly to questions and requests. We requested an iron prior to our arrival and the iron and ironing board were in our room from day one . The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped .

Location was great, although no shops at all, should probably let people know when booking. Bed was comfy.

Poor maintenance. was extremely hard to lock the door, had to force it shut to use the key which would have been no good for elderly people
