Hotel Silverine

The hotel itself is lovely, green marble staircase with solid balustrade, good size room, great views from room. Food was amazing

Staff originally were quite prickly. Web site says Mall road but it is actually a bit of a climb to Mall road; but once there, a few deep breaths and before long you are at the main square

Everyone was so helpful. Lovely views from our room.

The bed was quite hard, that’s down to preference.

-View from the room -Rooms we’re spacious and well lit -Comfortable beds -polite staff -decent food, can be room delivered

-the sheets and pillow covers were visibly soiled while checking in. The staff boy said that it was newly changed but obliged on insisting to have them changed. -the approach to the hotel has a very steep up-slope, was hard for us since we walked to the hotel from the Lift with luggage. Consider booking here if you’re travelling by car/taxi. -they claimed to have 24/7 running hot water but since it’s solar heated, it’s not enough heated for the cold Shimla temperatures, especially for bath in the evening/night. The hotel might have helped if we had asked them but we didn’t.
