Remarkable architectural masterpiece hidden behind an unassuming gate on a narrow lane behind Modica’s cathedral. A 16th Century villa restored in 2013 and brought into the 21st Century. Incredibly comfortable and spacious with a multi-leveled terrace that is so inviting we didn’t want to leave to explore the town below. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked. The linens are of good quality and there is plenty of hot water for all three bathrooms. Lorenzo met us at our rental car (several blocks and staircases away - parking is very limited and not adjacent), and helped with our luggage. He explained the property well and was very responsive to our questions during our stay. Overall, one of the finest properties I’ve ever stayed at in the world.
If you come via rental car, parking is limited and not very near the property. Be prepared for lots of stairs to walk anywhere.
