Moinhos das Marés

It was a fascinating location being on the marsh lands right next to flamingos and crabs and all sorts of wild life. Their is a beautiful town and beach nearby which fills all your needs for a restful stay. The room is clean and the organisers are very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone for a stop or a couple nights.

Not much really

Spent a relaxing 4 days in this sleepy town. Hotel a mere two minutes walk from train station which is a 20 minute train journey from Faro or 20 minutes to Tavaria. Surrounded by local restaurants and one of the best laundry self service Ive ever encountered. Room simple but spotless equipped with tea, coffee making facilities and a fridge. Excellent wifi coverage too. Important as I was present during the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament! Breakfast is reasonably priced. And staff willing to make light conversation despite limited command of English.

Location fabulous and beautiful building. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Fridge intermittently made a loud noise. Fly screen to balcony did not stay closed so needs repair.

We only stayed for one night but wished it could have been longer - it’s so tranquil and comfortable, we had an amazing night’s sleep. And the next morning a walk among the salt pans with all the flamingoes and sea birds. It’s a stunning location and feels remote even though you’re so close to town/the train station.
