Buttercup Cottage Apartments

This was a very clean and comfortable apartment with housekeeping service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday/Saturday when they changed bedding and towels during these visits. It was situated in quiet surroundings. We will miss the gaggle of cocks and chickens that are in the area. Air conditioning in the bedroom was very good. There was a fan in the living area. In the property description it did state air conditioning but did not mention it was only in the bedroom. Description also stated that there was an socket in the bedroom but this was for air conditioning and the lead was short so you couldn't use an adapter to charge phone and use AC at the same time. Hot water was available for the shower which was good if you showered in the evening but not necessary during the day as the water coming through the pipe was hot enough without turning on the hot water switch.

There were very high steps to the apartment without any handrails. When we initially placed our booking it stated there was a washing machine and dryer in the kitchen of the apartment but unfortunately this wasn't the case although washing could be carried out by housekeeping at a cost of 10 USD/27 XCD per load. I showed the owner this detail from my booking on the booking.com app. I then contacted booking.com and they asked me to take a screenshot of this. Firstly the app does not allow screenshots and secondly the washing machine and dryer were then missing from the list showing against my booking in the app. Please make sure you take a photograph of the listing when you make your bookings as it appears when you complain some details disappear.

Lovely apartment close to Kingstown. I ended up extending an extra night here and the accommodation was excellent. Great communication and a friendly owner. Easy to get a bus to Kingston, you can even walk. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

I like that it was close to all the places I visit with family.

The apartment can do with some upgrades. The upgrades need to be in the bathroom, make sure everything is working properly, and put an AC in the living room. That fan is not going to cut it. If you have a clock on the wall, make sure it works. You need bigger ice trays. Sometimes, it's nice to have a starter kit for your clients because when you get off of a flight, no one wants to worry about what to get for the next day. Starter kit should have coffee, biscuits, bottle water, tea bags, small creamer/milk, and maybe a small juice. Plugs that can be used by international clients. The outlets for international guests are far and few in-between. I loved sitting on the veranda.
