Golden Palms Apartment

Very clean and comfortable

Very roomy apartment with excellent bedroom A/C. Nice kitchen and hot showers. So quiet and such comfortable sleeping! Good wi-fi. It's really close to the airport, which I wanted, but not much is around the apartment building. There's an extremely limited grocery store 5 min. away, but not many options. I asked Janelle, the manager, for contacts on seeing the island and she recommended Romain and Felix. Both had great English, were reliable, and warm. Excellent stay as long as you are aware of how to get around. I spent a whole day being driven along the leeward side of the island, saw where the first Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed, and the scenic Dark View Falls. Then the next day, I took a ferry to Bequia, another island only 45 min. away with nice beaches and many restaurants. If you do take the ferry, turn right when you disembark and walk along the coastline to see the beautiful houses and stop for lunch at one of them. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights/2 full days in Kingstown, once I knew how to safely get around. Thank you, Janelle!

Location was away from town, but fine with a taxi. Roads are narrow and 2 lanes with limited space to walk, so I didn't do much walking except to the small market nearby, Diamond's. There are many bigger supermarkets farther away.

Service was perfect. Location & room 10/10

I cant complain about anything

This was our first time in St. Vincent and Janelle was so helpful. She recommended a good car rental company and answered all our questions promptly and precisely. It was a good size apartment. The shower was always hot and flowed well and drinking water from the tap was fine. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioning in the bedroom was perfect. Restaurants were just 10 mins away. We can recommend Paradise Hotel on the beach front and Ocean View on the east coast, where the food and service were excellent too. Indian beach wasn't as good as Beach Compass, which fronted the Paradise Hotel, much better for swimming and space.

The location was a little noisy if you sat outside but it was like watching F1 racing driving at times on the sharp bend! The kitchen could do with some more crockery and storage containers, but the facilities otherwise were ideal.
