Sunset Beach Hotel - Adults Only

Comfortable room, lovely staff members. Nice view from the room with view. Any issue i had regarding my standart of stay been solved quickly with effort from the staff. Nice swimming pool area... Got lovely beach to make an evening walk and lovely sunsets. I seen monkeys when traveling on the beach, and generally around Haad rin area.

The room i had been floor 3 - and it had lot of steps to go up in the heat of may. As a solo traveler it felt more like a hotel for couples. It is written adults only hotel, but in some days there been couples with kid at the pool.. so i guess they arent strict about it. Haad rin area is more alive around full moon parties and also the prices are higher. Other days the area is almost empty from visitors. If you take a bike - to get out of haad rin need to go trought up-down and cyrcling road .. And eventually at koh phangan is much better renting a bike, including in that area. Something small that been annoying me is the garabage bags it the other property infront of my room's ocean view... And also when ordering the room the first photoes on booking been the reason i chose this hotel.. but i got a view to the other side, and it was disappointing for me. But yet ocean view is yet nice.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Pool was a good size and clean. Location is excellent, close to Haad Rin beach

Breakfast was basic and repetitive. Basic choice of eggs, accompanied by the same salad and fruit every single day. Air conditioning wasn't working well, although they fixed it after I reported it.

10 min walking from pier and main "strip area". Nice pool area. Kind and friendly staff. Private scooter parking.

In the first room, the electricity kept going out. The staff claimed they were not aware of the issue. Fortunately, the hotel was accommodating and changed our room after the first night. The walls are very thin. At night, if a guest in the neighboring room is talking on the phone, you can even hear what the person on speaker is saying. More attention should be paid to room cleaning. Nothing is done about noisy guests. There is no one to turn to at night (except to write on WhatsApp).In the hotel room, guests need to be aware that they must have some kind of streaming subscription in order to use the TV. There are no free-to-air channels available.
