Superb Villa in peaceful location with wonderful views and a helpful host.

A beautiful, spacious and well-presented villa with a generous and well-equipped outdoor space, and spectacular view of the coast and sea. Our host was wonderful, giving us helpful advice on how to find the villa (btw do NOT use Apple maps - Google was spot-on) and lots of helpful local information / recommendations. Very responsive to messages and requests, too. We booked two nights and wished we had made it longer. Fruit, water, snacks, orange juice and tea / coffee were provided on arrival, enough to keep us going until we could shop for food. The villa is superbly well-equipped and in a peaceful location. Highly recommend.

If you don't enjoy driving on hillside roads or the quiet of a rural location this may not suit you. The roads are perfectly fine in terms of width and surface, they just wind around a bit. However, access to the villa's parking area is straight off the road, which is a plus. I struggled to connect with the Booking.com messaging page for this villa and had to email using a link I found under 'get directions'. Given the recent bad publicity about Booking.com it did cause me concern but Houlia is very quick to respond, which was reassuring.

Lovely hillside villa, perfect for families small and large.

Stunning villa up in the hills. Very easy to get to on a windy mountain road. Houlia was a lovely host, more than happy to help with any issues/ questions we had. This included me thinking we’d lost all power when actually the key had been removed from the keycard slot. Stupid Englishman! All in all, a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The only tiny disappointment was the second (patio) pool had a leak so was out of use. However we didn’t need two pools for the 4 of us!

Perfect relaxing group holiday

The villa is perfect - really spacious bedrooms with excellent air conditioning in each. Good cooking facilities including an outdoor BBQ. The outdoor areas are perfect with lots of comfortable beds and a pool. The view is incredible. The staff were friendly and were able to help with all of our enquiries. The breakfast provided each day was also excellent, so plentiful and varied each day. I couldn’t recommend this villa enough.

It does require a car to get to as it is around a 10 minute drive to the nearest supermarket or restaurant.

Great location, amazing villa

Villa was amazing, super clean and the two pools were very good. There was a place near the first pool for barbeque with a big table and chairs to eat. The bedrooms were spacious and the living room / kitchen very bright. We were also working remotely from there and the WiFi was very fast and we didn't have any problem with the network. We stayed there for two nights, the view is breathtaking! Very calm and relaxing location. Very quiet as well. Rethumno is just 15 mins away. We totally recommend it!

Everything else from host and facilities to panoramic view and structure of the villa. It was a great value for money deal.

Location was good for us being 1 hour from Chania and 1 hour from Heraklion. If you don't entend to visit noth then location might be a little far.

Great family holidays

The hosts were simply wonderful and we have greatly enjoyed our stay at the villa. Some selected perks: * The view is stunning. * The area is quiet, no noisy neighbours or such. You can count on a good rest at night. * Facilities are excellent, including all the stuff for kids (toys, playground, baby high chair etc.). * Good number of interesting places to travel around for short day trips. If you're into ancient history as we are, you will love Crete. And I am not thinking about all the usual places like Knossos, but all ancient sites that are around, with no fences or visitor centres. * Again, hosts! Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Exceptional

Location is perfect, being near to the beach and of lots of sightseeing options. Beautiful garden and terrace with shade, balconies and swimming pool with sea view. The villa is very well accommodated. We had everything we could need for the children (7 months and 2 years old): high chair, baby cot, swing set, slide, trampoline, food mixer, plastic dishes, changing table, bed fence, protection nets at the balconies' fences,... . Hosts were very helpful, friendly and generous. They offered us presents as our daughter turned 3 and as we departed.

With a dishwasher it would be even better.
