The house in the port

location was great, right next to all the shops and restaurants. The bed was really comfortable, the air con worked well and the host was really helpful with everything.

It was all good, lovely people, easy place to get around.

The house was exactly what we needed! In an ideal location, close to the shops, the municipal parking lot, and the beach where we took our dog for a swim! The place is very comfortable and fully functional, as it belongs to the family itself: 2 bedrooms, an extra sitting area and toilet upstairs, and a living/dining room, kitchen, and WC downstairs. In the kitchen we found everything we needed, a built-in fridge-freezer, electric stove, microwave, cookware, coffee maker, kettle and a washing machine as well. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are brand new and the water pressure was always great. A small courtyard with a grapevine trellis and a garden hose added the perfect touch, while leaving the living room door and window open kept the downstairs area cool. Our host, Mrs. Chrysa, was simply wonderful. Warm, hospitable, and always willing to help, she made sure we lacked nothing. She showed us the cabinet with cleaning supplies, and in the bathrooms we found shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, sponges, and toothbrushes. She had thoughtfully made sure they were there in case we'd forgotten our own! She's also an animal lover: as soon as she saw our dog Lucy, she rushed to bring water for her to drink in the courtyard, and showed us where she keeps treats for the neighborhood cats that come to lounge there. We'll definitely be back, and we recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, a great location, and a truly hospitable host!

It was lovely to meet the host and receive the keys! Such a lovely lady who spoke warmly about the history of the house and gave us suggestions about places to visit. Also, as parents of teens we were greatly assured about the safety of the island for our girls and they did enjoy walks and coffee on their own without any issues. For us, it was also a bonus that our host looked after the island’s cats. She has set up a clean feeding and watering station at the side of the house and we were more that happy to look after it and meet some very beautiful cats! Since the house is by the port, all facilities where near by and there is a good selection in restaurants, coffee shops and even fresh fish caught on the day and sold directly from the fishing boats by very friendly, local fishermen. For those who like great quality meat products, there is a local stockbreeder with his own livestock, shop and taverna, selling and serving mostly delicious products from his own farm. We also enjoyed the near beaches of Gialiskari and Otzias. They both have the famous crystal-clear waters of the Aegean sea, beautiful landscapes and the opportunity to choose between a beach bar and deck chairs or opt in for the cool shade provided by the tamarisk trees. All and all, it was a very beautiful stay, the house left like home and thoroughly loved the island!

Beautiful village house right in the center of Korissia. Everything is happening right on your doorstep and the beach is across the road.
