Excellent location near central restaurants and shops with free car parking right in front of the ryokan. Free coffee, water and tea available in the lobby. Liked having a private bath time but wish we could go twice.

I didn’t realize the room I booked did not have a toilet. In Japan, our past experience was that ryokans did not commonly have showers or bathtubs in the room but they at least had a toilet and sink. I assumed this was the case but I was wrong. Luckily, I was able to pay to upgrade our room to one with a toilet but looking back at the price we paid, I don’t feel like this ryokan was a great value.
Kawagoe is very quiet at night. Most shops and restaurants close by 5 or 6pm.

We like the private onsen that we can use for an hour.
It’s close to Koedo and the staff are very friendly. Some staff can speak English.
It’s a bit far from the train station but you can take the bus to go there. The bus stop is just across from this ryokan.

Great location and a lovely comfortable room. The dinner was excellent and staff lovely. A basic ryokan but good value for money.

Wonderful location very close to tourist and shopping area. Clean and nice traditional facilities. Very accommodating staff.
