Nicolas was so welcoming, he really went out of his way to look after me. The premises are really impressive, lovely rooms and a great kitchen / eating area.

Superb location - convenient and comfortable

The location is superb - we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Nicolas was very helpful in suggesting places to visit. Breakfast is simple but fresh and plentiful. And Calais is worth a visit! We were made to feel very welcome as was Bagel our dog! Thanks Nicholas

Quaint converted farmbuilding by the lake.

Prefect location on our trip back to the UK with good private parking. The host Nicolas was very communicative and welcoming. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with a mix of modern and antique. Some nice quirky touches, bespoke bedside lamps in the room we were in, and a really comfortable bed. There was a communal kitchen that we were able to use when we prepared a light supper, which he enjoyed with a glass of wine sitting outside watching the sun set over the lake. Would definitely stay again if passing this way in the future.

Super convenient from the ferry, lovely rural establishment in a cute village, happy friendly host who loves to make the effort to speak English and is very good! Tasty local and homemade produce served for breakfast, what more could we want! Wonderful :)

Location was superb, really easy to get to, and close to Calais and Dunkirk which makes it perfect to catch a ferry in the morning! Nicolas has been very accommodating with us, since we arrived fairly late because of traffic and we had to leave early because our ferry got moved. Since we arrived when it was dark, we were delighted of the view we saw when we woke up in the morning! Also breakfast is fantastic, fresh bread and home made jams among all other fine bits!

Great location just outside Ardes and hando for thw ferry at Calais. The room was lovely and breakfast was delicious.

I did book because it stated the accommodation was ground level. We ended up in a room with bedroom up some wooden stairs (bathroom ground floor). My husband struggled as he had a knee reolacement recently and I had to carry our 15 year old dog. Realised another customer had a ground floor apartment!!! It was difficult!

Breakfast exceptional freshly made with care. Lots of attention to detail and more than catered for the individuals stay there. Nicolas was a brilliant host and has a good sense of humour. Countryside view and atmosphere combined with comfort and a very nice host!

Nicolas the owner makes you feel very welcome, he makes a delicious breakfast and he is a very nice person to talk to. And the view and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. It is a full countryside experience.

It's a French bed so smaller than I am used to but I slept very well so not a big thing for me.

Good stay, despite limited options for little kids

Very nice host, immediately responsive to our requests. Delicious pancakes for breakfast. Beautiful view from the kitchenette and a nice farmhouse decor indoor and outdoor. It was practical to be able to use the kitchenette with small kids. Very nice shower (good water pressure). Also, we very much enjoyed other guests staying during the same time as us :)

Staying with very small children is a challenge due to architecture of the family room (steep stairs, bedroom in the attic, little day light). Also, our bedroom was above another bedroom, so we were quite anxious that kids may cause too much noise for other guests. It was quite difficult to be with kids inside (e.g. when it rained) due to limited space, while there was not that much for them to do in a direct vicinity of the house (no play room, no toys, no play-ground - I was a little bit misled by the photos in booking.com, which were added by guests, probably long time ago and no more valid). The room was cold when we arrived, but it was fixed quickly by the host.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und charmant, die Aussicht auf den See sehr schön. Der Gastgeber, Nicolas, ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und kommunikativ. Das Frühstück in der niedlichen Gemeinschaftsküche wird von Nicolas sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Beispielsweise gab es sehr leckere, selbstgemachte Marmeladen und Nicolas bereitete Crêpes und Arme Ritter zu. Es war für uns jedes Mal ein tolles Erlebnis, auch aufgrund der herzlichen Art des Gastgebers und der netten Kommunikation mit anderen Gästen.

Reposant et ressourçant

La chambre était vraiment très bien décorée et la literie très confortable. La situation fasse au lac est magnifique. On peut partir à pied pour en faire le tour. Nicolas est un hôte très attentionné et hyper sympathique. Il fait des confitures maison excellentes. Un grand merci a lui pour son accueil chaleureux et pour avoir accepté nos 2 petits chiens. Nous avons passé un super séjour.

La struttura è in una posizione facilmente raggiungibile, tranquilla e con una bellissima vista sul lago. Nicolas, il proprietario, è stato molto accogliente e simpatico. La colazione è stata ottima, con marmellate, caramello salato e pain perdu fatti in casa. Anche il caffè era davvero buono. Da ritornarci!
