Secret Garden Kyoto

I love the area! It's so quiet and within walking distance from anything you need. City bus is close by or you can use Go Taxi. The canal and the sake museums are within 15 min walk. Such a beautiful area. The house was very clean and really had a charming feel to it. Very 'slice of life' and authentic Kyoto!

The only things I noticed that could be an issue for someone were that there is no bidet, and that the heater unit for the bedroom wall mounted heater is very loud. I didn't care because I like white noise to sleep, but I could see that bothering others that need silence. However: there is a separate radiator you could move from the kitchen into the bedroom at night if you really wanted to. We never went into the upstairs bedrooms so I cannot attest to those.

Nice bed sheets and lovely calm house

For a long stay it would be good to have some extra things like tea towels and a few more pots and pans that aren’t so beat up. The clothes rack upstairs is also broken and I had to put it back together.

Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft ähnlich wie auf den Bildern, aber sehr dunkel.

Wo soll ich anfangen.... Bei Booking ist es in der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich, das dass wunderschöne Schlafzimmer was sich oben befindet nur mit einem Aufpreis zugänglich ist. Man bezahlt für ein ganzes Chalet von 48qm bekommt aber dies nicht. Das Schlafzimmer, was der einzige Raum war das schön hell ist, war mit einem Schloss zugesperrt. Das Schlafzimmer unten ist sehr dunkel und das Bett bzw. die Matratze sehr hart, gut geschlafen haben wir nicht. Wir hatten auch nur eine Decke und es war sehr kalt obwohl es für die Jahreszeit eigentlich noch sehr warm in Kyoto war. Die Schränke waren auch verschlossen wo sich die Decken und Kissen befanden. Der Hamma war auch die Situation mit unserer Wäsche. Wir hatten nur die Möglichkeit unsere frisch gewaschene Wäsche im Raucherraum (Terrasse/Garten) aufzuhängen. Die Unterkunft heißt Secret Garden Kyoto aber ein Garten bzw. eine Terrasse war es meiner Meinung nicht. Die Terrasse/Garten war komplett zu, frische Luft kam nicht durch. Die Wäsche riecht dadurch natürlich nach Rauch. Ich bin zwar Raucher, aber das muss nicht sein. Wirklich sehr schade, ich habe noch nie so eine schlechte Bewertung abgegeben.
