The location was near V&A waterfront and they have a nice restaurant

The cleaning lady on Friday came in and stole a 100 dollars then out of the five day stay they just cleaned the room once, even after requesting them to do so. We never saw the host. We didn’t like the stay it was horrible then adding salt to injury they steal my money stay away from apartment 718 at all cost.

Excellent stay in a beautiful and well-located apartment

We had a wonderful stay in Cape Town. The apartment is exactly as advertised and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The building itself is beautiful, and the pool offers a breathtaking view. The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, and having a garage is a real plus. Security is also very good, which made us feel completely at ease. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would happily stay here again.

Better options

The location is great

We chose this apartment in the Cape Royale building for a weekend getaway, attracted by the excellent location in Green Point – walking distance to the V&A Waterfront, restaurants, and the promenade. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After dinner, we found multiple light globes not working: 3 out of 4 in the bathroom and the one next to the bed was completely missing. We reported this early Saturday morning and requested a fix, but by lunchtime no one had come, and nothing was resolved during our stay. The air conditioning also struggled – despite being told it was working, the room never cooled properly, making it uncomfortable. There are no windows in the bathroom or opening windows in the bedroom. As this is now an independently run apartment (managed by Cape Finest) rather than a full hotel, there is no on-site reception or immediate help available, which led to a real lack of accountability. Basic expectations like functional lighting in a premium Booking.com listing weren’t met. In the end, we decided to rather check into a nearby hotel for a much better experience. The location is fantastic, but I cannot recommend this particular apartment due to the maintenance issues and slow/non-existent response. There are many better-managed options in the area.

Fantastic safe beautiful apartment in a great location

The location was perfect for travelling around Cape Town and outside of Cape Town and the parking underground was brilliant and the security fob for everything makes everything safe. The staff were lovely and the apartment was great 😊

There was nothing we didn’t like about the apartment but the tea towel went missing after the housekeeper had done her rounds and must of forgot to replace it so sorry we had to leave everything on the draining board and the alarm on the fridge needs looking at as kept going off as if the door was open at random times but the door looked fine so this does need looking at but we didn’t want to worry about it while we was there we just pressed reset button but these are not complaints just need sorting 😍

The carpet in the room looked dirty and had a damp smell. The apartment otherwise was great. Didn't really use the kitchen facilities. It didn't have the luxurious feel it once had many years back but that's okay.

Ideally situated, close to stadium, promenade, supermarket and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Communication was easy and check in and out effortless. Rooftop area was a bonus!

Despite the niggles, we love staying at the Cape Royale, it is perfect in many ways.

WIlly met us and he was delightful, helpful and welcoming. A great introdution to our stay.

The unit needs a bit of attention, the aircon did not work, the seal to the outside balcony door needs to be replaced and there was a continuous beeping sound in the building that kept us awake.

The only redeeming quality was the doorman who was friendly and helpful

Apartment furniture was old and outdated. Bed Pillows smelt terrible - not sure the last lime they were washed - we opted to use our jackets as pillows, cushions on couches old and smelly. Bed sheet was torn. Bedroom carpets were dirty and had a terrible smell. There were 3 or 4 diffusers all with different scents - I guess to mask the general smell of the apartment. Not great.

It was over the road from DHL stadium. The room was awesome. I could stay there for a month without going out. Just enjoying the view. Fully equipped kitchen and everything you might (or not) need) in the unit.

The bed could have had a better mattress. Parking is a bit of a schlep to get into. You first have to meet someone in the foyer to get directions to parking. With 50 000 people trying to park, it it a problem to double park and wait for someone to direct you to parking.

Just a recommendation- For safety and convenience, either replace the key system with a door card system so that any occupant left inside the room can exit freely in an emergency. Alternatively, ensure that at least two sets of keys are provided to prevent one guest from being locked inside while the other is out with a key.

Everything is hard work to stay at this hotel. You cannot access the parking. You have to park in the street and go in and then get tokens and keys. It is just unorganised and frustrating checking and checking out. The sircon in the room couldn't switch off and was just noisy and unpleasant.
