New house with garden near the beach and quiet

We stayed for one week with Beatrice. We had been looking forward to our vacation and it turned out to be as good as we had hoped. The house is comfortable, with all the appliances one needs and located in a quiet, leafy neighborhood, it is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful area. But the best is Beatrice herself. She's a warm, congenial hostess, doing whatever she can to give her guests the best possible stay. It was a pleasure getting to know her. A vacation of just one week there was too short. We had a lovely week in July in the new house right next to M et Mme Debrieu. Everything in the house where in topshape and clean. The area was calm and quiet. We made trips to the small towns around the bay and went for baths by the big (long) beach on the outside towards the sea.The walking distance down to the bay with restaurants and shops were perfect. We (my wife, adult daughter and I) spent a lovely fortnight at this house in early June. The house is new, immaculately and tastefully decorated and furnished in a modern style, and very well equipped with all facilities and appliances required for a great holiday. It is in a quiet and tranquil residential part of Andernos, but only a short 10 minute walk to a fabulous boulangerie-patisserie, and a pleasant longer stroll to the town centre, where we found excellent cafes, restaurants and a superb small market hall. It is also only about a 15 minutes’ walk to a fine sandy beach, ideal for bathing when the tide is in, or strolls along the sands when the tide is out. The house is easily placed to access local supermarkets, the ports and beaches of the north side of the Bassin d’Arcachon as well as Atlantic beaches at Lacanau Ocean and Le Porge. Further afield the Dune du Pyla and the ‘belle époque town of Arcachon are within an hour, and we had a good day in Bordeaux, travelling via the train from Facture Biganos The owners were extremely helpful, both through the booking process and on arrival; they were however also unobtrusive, notwithstanding they live the other side of the garden fence. I was told we were the first British people to have booked the house. I would thoroughly recommend it to my fellow citizens or indeed anyone from any country looking for a peaceful base from which to explore this delightful part of France.
