Blue Bay Patmos Summer House

A beautiful home within a community cluster built into the side of a mount in Grikos section of Patmos. It was quiet while providing a great view of the coast and surrounding terrain. The home was equipped with all the necessaries to provide for a comfortable stay with children: stove, 2 full baths, zone cooling, washer, ample seating and dinning, spacious terrace, and enough beds. The host was extraordinarily accommodating by being available for questions far in advance, giving helpful arrival advice, and gracious with a generous late check out to accommodate inconvenient the ferry schedule. This home beautifully accommodated our stay and Revelation of Apostle John pilgrimage to Patmos.

The terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed many meals out there as we watched the sun sink below the mountains to the west. The terrace walls are uniform height within the whole home cluster. I would have loved to see a metal railing extending the height for safety. It would be very easy for a someone to be sitting on the terrace wall and be pushed off or fall off for playing or rough-housing. The fall would be well over 10' to the concrete below. We had no issues because our children listen to our instructions and were not permitted to play, sit, or run on the back terrace near the walls. Notwithstanding, if we visited Patmos again, because of the age and obedience of our children, this would be at the top of our list.

The property is very clean and tidy and in an excellent location at Grikos Beach. It is in walking distance to restaurants, cafes, beach and local bus. We did not need to hire a car and used the local bus to visit Kampos beach, Chora and Skala. Amazing accommodation for 6 adults comfortably. Great outdoor area with sunbeds for relaxing during the day and evenings under the stars. We loved this accommodation and the host was very helpful and communicated very well.
