The property itself is freshly refurbished, clean, and comfortably warm a great fit for a family of four to five. The space is well presented and has clearly had thought put into its renovation. As a place to sleep and spend time together, it does the job well.
The property came with an unusually restrictive set of house rules that made for a stressful stay. The kitchen was stocked with just enough cookware and crockery to serve one meal for four to five people meaning everything had to be washed immediately after use before the next meal could even be prepared. A detailed inventory of the property's contents was provided upfront, complete with itemised replacement costs for anything damaged, which set an uncomfortable tone from the outset.
Wi-Fi access was limited to a fixed number of devices, adding unnecessary friction for a group of guests. Upon departure, we were required to strip all the bed linen a task not always made clear in advance. The listing advertised free parking, but failed to mention this applied to one vehicle only, which is a significant omission for a property accommodating four to five guests.
A €1,000 cash deposit was required before check-in, and upon leaving, the host conducted a full stocktake including physically counting the crockery. The overall experience was one of deep mistrust toward guests, with the rules and procedures feeling less like hospitality and more like a liability exercise. There are further points that could be raised, but the pattern speaks for itself.
