We were a little nervous when we pulled up to the hotel as it looked like a building from the 70/80s but we were pleasantly surprised how nicely the hotel got renovated, really nice textures and warm colours everywhere, the wellness section was lovely as well as the restaurant very stylish, maybe a little too bright at dinner.
The beds in our superior double room were a little too soft for us including the European gigantic not so comfortable pillows (why can't these hotels invest in proper good pillows?!) this is a general problem we find, also if your room windows face the Sarospatak sign on the main street - expect a very bright room when the Sun rises despite the blackout curtains as they don't close perferctly and that's enough to be woken up.
