A place I know from the past, good for me as a business traveler, and close to the beach. It is a quit zone, no club nearby:) Very good communication with the host.

Victor welcomed us and gave us great tipps for our journey through Romania. Good stay at a bargin, would recommend.

The room was clean and had everything that is needed: a fridge, stove, cups, plates, kettle, and AC. It's quite close to the beach. Mr Victor is very kind and helpful: he allowed us to leave our baggage at his place after we checked out, allowed us to take a shower there long after we checked out, and even gave us a lift to the train station. Deserves all the best

This place is a travel writers dream. No mark out of ten or smiley emoji can tell the story. It is what it is and you get what you pay for - it is near the beach and it is cheap. If you want somewhere better then you pay more. We arrived early and were let in which was excellent and he didn't need to do that - there's one mark right there! You can see the sea and the route to the beach from the second landing on the way up - another couple for location! The room itself way big enough - there was an overall feeling of shoddiness which was hard to shake and we did feel the need to clean anything before we used it (this may be more of a reflection on previous guests than the owner). We were asked not to use the kitchen to cook fish (reasonable), onions or garlic - onions or garlic??? This pretty much eliminated all the meals we had planned to cook and so eating out became our only option. There is no parking but again, if that is important then you need to find somewhere further from the sea and more expensive. There is a garden but it looks very tired and unloved - maybe it has had a hard summer. You can hear other guests very loudly - but again that is reflected in the price. (on the subject of price - this would have been less of an issue and would have gained 2 or 3 more points if we had not seen our room available for 130 lei less when looking to book extra accommodation for friends). After pondering all this I looked back at the reviews others have left I honestly feel that the one out of ten reviews are harsh as the location and cost give you a lot more than that. I also feel that the ten out of tens are so wildly optimistic that even a dewy eyed romantic like myself would struggle to get near. Then I noticed a key features of the reviews - no good review received a comment from the owner. Other places leave a short "Thank you". However, every bad review was treated to an ultra defensive retort.

Like I said above - it's unfair to pick out negatives without giving context Also, marks out of ten or smiley emojis do not paint an accurate picture However, it is only negative reviews that induce a response....hopefully this one will be seen as balanced.
