Very nice choice, it is the perfect place to get to know the surroundings.

Staff is extremely polite and attentious. Breakfast is excellent with everything one may want, fresh fruits and juices, cakes, egg, different breads and the spot where is served is wonderful. Silence providing a great night sleep, perhaps is not like this at the high season.

A place in paradise.

The location is so good! Im so happy i chose this side of Ilha Grande! The vibe is villagy, and all the people there know eachother. I was travelling alone, and I think in this place people usually travel with someone, partners or something. The place was for sure romantic, but as I was alone, I got to enjoy meeting so many lovely people at the local bar just next to the hotel. I was spending time at the hotel next door also, as I made friends with the manager there. The views from the hotel were great! And the breakfast was also very nice. They also had nice selections of beach tours to choose from!

I wouldve liked to have better lighting options in my room, such as a nice reading light. I love to make a lovely atmosphere with lighting in places where i sleep, and read in the night before going to bed, and that was a little bit difficult in my room. But other than that, the room was super clean and everything worked well!

The stay was beautiful and we could recommend.

The location was amazing, nothing can beat the view of the ocean right outside your window. Breakfast was delicious and served with an exceptional view.

The property lacked sufficient snorkel gear (only 2). Other reviews mentioned a kayak, but only paddle boards were offered. Some lounge chairs would also be nice to sun bathe. We found ourselves going to other pousadas to relax as they were more comfortable.

A relaxing place with beautiful views

We absolutely loved our stay at Saracura! Such a beautiful and relaxing place with amazing views. We slept so well with the sound of waves. Breakfast was abundant and Maria Luiza made sure there were enough gluten-free options for me and even baked a special bread :) everything was just perfect and we hope to come back again soon!

Amazing stay in beautiful Ilha Grande

Our stay was fabulous. Maria Luiza was very kind and helped us organize our trip from and back to Rio the best way possible. The location is amazing to have breakfast and do snorkeling right off the hotel deck. The beaches nearby are also all worth it and quite peaceful, which was exactly what we wanted. We really recommend Saracura ! Merci pour tout :)

PARADISE PERFECTION

Our host Maria was AMAZING! Super friendly and very accommodating! Anything we needed she was there to help, breakfast was fantastic and fresh every morning! Location was perfect only a 3 minute walk to a very very quiet beach (Less than 10 people) it felt like our own private beach 😍! The room we stayed in was uphill but very secluded and quiet which was perfect for us and those that want the most relaxing experience, I simply cant fault anything and would give this place 10 stars if I could! Thank you Maria!

Paradise!

The location is perfect! We loved waking up every morning in paradise. We went swimming with the turtles every day and ate in some very nice restaurants near by. Highly recommend!

Dreamy stay

We stayed here after Rio carnival and the change of pace was perfect. The property was stunning and my friends and I loved every minute of our stay! The daily turtles passing through was also an amazing addition

Exceptional

The location is unmatchable, you are in the most beautiful spot in the island to relax, swim, and snorkel! Right outside each room is a view fit for a postcard. Our room was clean and peaceful. What really made our stay special however was how friendly and accommodating the staff, Cassaine and Izaias, were. From the beginning they went above and beyond to help us book activities and to help us get on and off the island. When I got ill with sunstroke and fainted in a restaurant Izaias and Cassaine came to walk me home to ensure I got back safely. They looked after me so well. Even though I was ill for a lot of it I would say staying here was a real high point in our trip. You can't beat watching a sea turtle swim in the bay whilst you're having breakfast!

Amazing place to slow down

The owner greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our bungalow. The breakfast was a good mix of fruits and bread and cake and came with an amazing view over the water. We spend hours playing board games on the deck and in between jumped in the water to watch sea turtles. The service was great and we could order Caipis and were offered to use the kayak and snorkel.

our room was at the top of a steep hill with a lot stairs to climb so some warning would have been good, especially if you’re unfit or unable to climb stairs. but the views from the top were nice

Perfect for a get-away

The hosts were so nice, throughout the whole stay; very helpful and nice to have a chat with. The room was alright, let’s not forget we’re on an island. The views were the absolute best, so relaxing to wake up by the sound of waves. Getting there by boat is an experience in itself. We could snorkel (saw turtles & dolphins!) right in front of the B&B. Easy to access restaurants as well.

I want to go back!

I booked in for a 2 night stay which became 3 because a storm came in a I was unable to get off the island on day 2 - note that if you are travelling here don't book, say, your return flight for the next day because Mother Nature may decide otherwise! What an amazing location though - peaceful and so relaxing. Izaias and his wife could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. This is an ideal place to switch off and unwind for a couple of days whilst relaxing in a hammock overlooking the ocean with stunning sunsets. Breakfast was a good selection and the passion fruit caipirinhas were the best I had had anywhere in Rio!

The rooms are basic but clean - but you don't need anything more in a place like this. I didn't like the pillows because they were too hard for me but that is entirely a personal preference.

Amazing view, comfortable and just above the ocean. Perfect for a wonderful stay. Maria is a wonderful host that would do everything for you to enjoy your staying fully. Also just the best location, where your ‘doorstep’ is at beautiful ocean. One of the many things to highlight was Maria’s cooking skills, Maracujá caipirinhas ( passion fruit caipirinha ) and her knowledge sharing the best things to do/see.

There’s nothing to not like. Simply perfect staying and couldn’t recommend enough!

We had beautiful view from the room, very nice breakfast. We liked the place where this guesthouse is, perfect for swimming, quite, walking in the near jungle of the island.

The staff do not speak any English, we were lacking our own chairs and table on our patio. In the bathroom the electricity cables were not safely stored.

Une poussada pleine de charme auprès des tortues

L’emplacement est vraiment parfait. Le ponton privé facilite les pick up en bateau et permet de profiter des après midi sur les transats. On a apprécié pouvoir voir des tortues du matin au soir. Le petit déjeuner est très bon. Le personnel est très gentil et Maria nous a offert un bel accueil et pleins de conseils sur les choses à faire sur l’île.

Il y’a eu une coupure générale sur l’île dû à un orage. On comprends que ce sont les aléas qui peuvent arriver sur une île. On regrette simplement le manque de communication et la réactivité pour activer le générateur de secours comme l’ont fait les autres poussadas aux alentours. On avait fait les courses pour se préparer à manger, on a dû cuisiner avec le flash de notre téléphone, se doucher à l’eau froide. Impossible de charger nos telephones, pas de clim. La coupure a duré de 18h à minuit.

Voltaria sem pensar duas vezes

Impecável. Todos os funcionários são extremamente simpáticos e prestativos. A equipe realmente sabe como fazer o hóspede se sentir confortável, e pra mim, esse é o princípio mais importante da hospitalidade.

Não há o que não gostar. Nosso quarto ficava após alguns lances de escada, o que é totalmente compreensível considerando o terreno da ilha e não comprometeu a experiência.
