The Umah Prahu

Very nice stay. It was so close to the beach. The stuff was very kind to wait for us till late night as we were really late to check in. Great value for money! the room and washroom was very clean and cozy.

Hotel bellissimo vicino al mare, con una struttura a forma di barca che dà davvero la sensazione di essere in crociera. L’atmosfera è molto rilassante e silenziosa, perfetta per riposare e dormire bene. Siamo stati a marzo e c’erano pochissimi turisti, il che ha reso il soggiorno ancora più tranquillo. Con l’hotel abbiamo organizzato anche il trasferimento successivo verso le isole Gili Trawangan e il servizio è stato efficiente; il prezzo era un po’ più alto rispetto a Bali, ma nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene.

Nei dintorni però non c’è molto, solo qualche locale dove mangiare, quindi la posizione può risultare un po’ scomoda. Il porto dista circa 1,7 km e con le valigie è impensabile andarci a piedi: bisogna prendere un taxi che applica una tariffa minima di circa 150.000 rupie anche per tragitti molto brevi, che poi può aumentare in base alla distanza.

I found nothing to dislike.

Great value place, the free breakfast was satisfactory. The staff were warm, attentive, and very accomodating. Props for letting me check in late! Location-wise, yes it's far from the main port (Banjar Nyuh), but I love the charming little town it's situated in. It's also surrounded by convenience stores and restaurants. If you walk uphill for a bit, you'll find a bunch of beach clubs. The homemade sourdough at the cafe across the hotel was divine.

Everything was fine until I found fresh rat droppings on my bathroom floor one morning. Extra minus points for the stained sheets + towel (I could tell they tried to get the stains out, but just buy new linens at that point please) and the huuuge things of dust everywhere around the room.
