Great stay and great host Sofia. She always responded quickly when we had questiona and was really helpful. We loved the house and felt home immediately. Nice garden with swimming pool and a good firm bed.

Perfect villa for your holidays with family

My husband and I had a really mixed experience with this stay. We spent over a month in Portugal and stayed at a number of different places and chose this one when a construction crew started up at our original booking. Here is a breakdown of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: The house was bigger than expected from the photos and has a great location to beautiful beaches. The backyard area has a larger pool and plenty of chairs for eating or lounging. The host met us and ran through instructions, plus kindly left us with two bottles of wine! The Bad: There were obvious issues with cleanliness that made us a bit uneasy. The kitchen was not swept and there was a lot of fly poop on the ceiling lights in the kitchen. Although there were kitchen staples left in the cupboards, there was some rancid food in jars that just made us think it was better not to use any of it. The unit is not air conditioned so you need to leave windows open to get air flow. With a bus stop right outside, that can be noisy. The Ugly: After checkout we were charged 100 Euro for locksmith charges because we left the keys in the door (this is normal in other VRBOs). We asked for proof of charges and none was given. There are two other doors on the unit, so we would have expected that the host would have a backup plan or at least would have provided written instructions on something so important. Overall, an OK stay but we wouldn't return based on cleanliness and communication.
