Maison Chaumont

Perfect for our few days away. Lovely location and our host was charming and incredibly accommodating. Walking distance to restaurants and the river for kayaking.

The property is a lovely house with a large beautiful garden, quiet and peaceful. The views from the garden are breathtaking. The host is exceptionally gracious and kind. The location is perfect, close to most major sites to be seen, and even a short walking distance from the famous Marqueyssac gardens. It is a privilege to be able to experience living in such a wonderful French country house. If we had known how much we would love it, we would have planned to stay longer.

Our host was lovely and the property is in a great position within walking distance of the Jardines de Marquessay and the town of La Roque Gageac

Breakfast was offered at extra cost, we thought it was a little expensive for what was proposed so we didn't have any.

Francoise is the lady who runs this little B&B out of her charming and traditional French home. She is located within easy proximity to many desireable attractions including Chateau Castelnaud, La Rocques-Gageac, Beynac, Le Jardin Marquessac and Sarlat. You can literally step out of the door to the suite and you're looking across at the castle on the hill - spectacular!! Francoise is a lovely, kind lady who is interested to meet her guests and help them with whatever they need.

There is no sign at the main road and it was not obvious where she was located. I stopped at another location and asked in my minimal French. It would be very helpful if Francoise could post 2 signs to help people find her location. One off the main road into Vezac and one at the corner of her house. There is a sign but it's right beside her gate.
