Casa Arthur is situated in the heart of Transylvania in the village called Richis/ Reichesdorf hidden by wine slops. The mansion house is a representative building of the historical village, ideally located in the center ,with view from the windows on the saxon gothique church.The mansion house has been transformed in vacation house, but still keeps his authentique character, his old patine and it’s full of history, preserving the art of living of wealthy saxon population based on a particular traditional self-sufficiency and agricultural economy. The place is perfect for a peacefull countryside vacation. The guest-rooms are spacious with high ceiling and big windows. The living -room has a bibliotheque with books in several languages. You can sit comfortably next to the fire and read or spend time with your family and friends.The kitchen is fully equipated to prepare your meal. The house owns a big completely closed courtyard with a nice big garden, and wonderfull place to sit and eat outside, enjoying the bells of horses and the song of the rare birds and admire the stars in hot summer nights. Be part of simple but interesting village life and nevertheless discover the nature and the surprising architectures and patrimony of Transylvania.

We stayed for one week in this cozy house and we enjoyed every day. A treasured interior, a caring host and a great lanscape around.

Casa Arthur is a very big, yet cosy place to stay. We loved to be in the garden for breakfast and dinner, or to look at one of the many books you can find in the apartment. Anna is a very friendly hostess. She welcomed us with soup made by one of her neighbours and even organised a private tour in the village of Richis and the church! It is a good starting point to explore the old Saxon villages nearby. But you could also easily stay within the house for a few days to relax and read some books :). Anna did a lot of work to make the house most comfortable, but as with all big and old houses, it will take a lot more work to make it perfect. Especially the bathrooms need some more work. But if you are not that demanding, you will be just fine. (We were fine!) There are a lot of beds in the house, so you can pick your favourite one to sleep on (they're all different matrasses, soft ones and hard ones). We were with five persons, and with 3 bedrooms (actually 4) we all had our own private room to sleep in. The place is very quite (except for the rooster and the church bells ofcourse ;) ), very neat, very cosy, and could be very romantic aswell. As for Anna, you could ask her anything, she is very helpfull. We definetly want to come back sometime!
