Magnolia Lodge is situated within the grounds of our 10 acre small holding just 3 minutes from the A38 Devon Express way and 1 mile outside the market town of Newton Abbot. The spacious accommodation, all on ground floor level, features a contemporary wood burner in the lounge, fitted kitchen with range cooker and built in appliances, 2 bedrooms (both can accommodate travel cot), 2 bathrooms, enclosed garden and parking. There are an excellent range of local shops, restaurants and facilities nearby to cater for all requirements. The central location is ideal for beaches, moor and countryside or visiting the cities of Exeter and Plymouth.

Rose, the owner, was lovely. The property was very clean and tidy. Good facilities.The property backed onto a very busy road. There are mature trees between it and the road, however they didn't drown out the continual traffic noise.

Rose was a great host, communicating clearly before our arrival and throughout. The lodge is bigger than it looks in the listing, comfortable and very well equipped (tea, coffee facilities, toiletries, games and books). I was slightly concerned about the proximity to the road initially, but it is very well screened by the trees and sound proofing is excellent. If the weather was a bit better, the outdoor area looked nice. All in all, a really great experience and one we wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Rosie was lovely to deal with, the property was perfect for us and it is perfectly equipped for dogs. A lot of thought has gone in to the property. We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend it to families with or without dog, thank you Rosie

This is an excellent property, well situated for the Dartmoor and Torbay area. It is really well presented, very clean and the all important Covid considerations are well taken care of. We booked the lodge for 3 people, including an 82 year old and it was perfect with everything on one level, including a walk in shower. There is easy access from the parking space provided.Rose and her family have really provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including quality basics such as toilet rolls, hand soap, washing up liquid and dish washer tablets. Rose even provided tea/coffee essentials, milk and a chocolate cake. We’ve stayed in a lot of self catering properties and the lodge is one of the very best!
