Big apartment with garden, amazing sea view

The Climb and The Vista are always together. We climbed those many stairs with hospitable, efficient, thorough Claudio ahead as our guide. By the end of the week we could do the climb blindfolded ("turn left at the tiny herb garden"; you'll see what this means). Those sunsets seen out the apartment window were a special thing, and we all sat and watched, happy we had chosen this very special apartment for our stay. If this was once in a lifetime, it was a time and place well chosen.

My wife and I traveled with another couple and we loved spending 4 days in Cinque terra! The food and the locals are worth the trip to this rather remote area. We enjoyed our stay at this property and the owner was very helpful and communicative. I would recommend this property and Riomaggiore!

The home and the view were outstanding. The entire apartment was remodeled and very well done. We really enjoyed the ease of the entire experience.

Our 3 nights and 4 days at the Sunset Garden Apartment was an exceptional stay to explore Cinque Terre’s coastal beauty and wonderful hiking trails. Loved our stay here. Family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Check in with Claudio was easy and convenient. He met us at the train station and walked with us to the apartment. Since it is Cinque Terre there are stairs. I believe it is 96 steps up to the apartment. That is all part of the fun! I had my 2 teenagers to help with our bags. Others may wish to arrange a Porter. Apartment itself is lovely. 2 wonderful bedrooms with excellent views. Kitchen is nice and reasonably equipped. Outside patio is lovely also with a nice view. Would be even nicer with an oceanfront glass railing. As others have mentioned the apartment does not have a central living room, just the bedrooms and the kitchen. Not a deal breaker but just be aware. AC works very well (visited in July) but note it turns off when you remove the room card to leave. Closing the shutters when you leave helps keep the apartment cool while you are out and exploring.

Claudio and Roberta are super friendly and responsive. They've done an amazing job with renovating the apartment which had amazing views of the sea and the village. Very close to the main street so easy access to coffee shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again when we visit next time!

This was an amazing apartment in the heart of the town with an amazing view of the village and ocean.

The view is beyond breathtaking. We are so happy with our stay. The hosts were very warm and helpful.

Fairy tail view of the Ligurian sea, mountains, and the colorful sun splashed homes of RioMaggiore. Absolutely beautiful view from both bedroom windows, the best view in the town for sunset whether in winter or summer. Perfectly clean and well decorated and new and bright. So comfortable. Great location for exploring the town and the other 4 cities. Very pleasant and helpful manager who recommended great restaurants. Book this apartment before it gone.

We absolutely loved this property!!! The view was beyond stunning from both rooms. Extremely clean and very elegant. The kitchen was very well equipped and the entire apartment looks newly updated. The beds were very comfortable and the twin beds were real beds not sleeper sofas.There’s a lovely sitting area outside surrounded with the citrus trees overlooking the sea. It’s a few minutes walk to the train station, the marina and the Main street. The host was very courteous and waited for us at the train station. The only thing I would advice is to pack very light because there’s a little bit over a hundred narrow steps to reach the property, or you could arrange with Roberto ahead of time to have a porter to help with the bags. I would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely accommodations and stunning views from the property. We suggest you use the local porter for baggage if you have large bags. Also, it can be a challenging location for anyone not prepared for steep stairways. Highly recommended location for a group of 4.

Right when we walked into the apartment, we knew this place was special. The views out of the bedroom windows were stunning! We were traveling as two couples and we had our privacy. The outdoor seating was fabulous. Yes there are stairs, but all of the apartments will have them. Claudio was very responsive. You will love staying here.

We had an incredible time in Cinque Terre!!!! The apartment was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view overlooking Riomaggiore and the sea. The host was very accommodating and great at communicating. I highly recommend a boat tour to get a view of Cinque Terre from the water. I would love to return and try out the walking trails between the villages.

Everything one would want: comfortable, clean, quiet and well situated to the cinque terra trails, train and town center. Wonderful host who takes pride in the property.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Impeccably clean, fully renovated with all modern luxuries. The view is exquisite. Claudio and Roberta were wonderful in communication. We arrived early and they gladly stored our luggage until the apartment was available.

We loved our stay in Riomaggiore at this property! Everything was nicely decorated and in perfect condition! The view from the large bedroom windows was spectacular. We spent a lot of time sitting, taking photos. and just enjoying the view! Roberta and Claudio were very helpful! Would love to rent this apartment again!

Fabulous place! View unparalleled. Rooms were updated and spotlessly clean. Great bathrooms. Claudio was the perfect host at checkin. Yes, many stairs. Typical for the town. Read the reviews about them and pack appropriately. We are in our 60’s and managed them just fine taking our time. Highly recommend the apartment. (we had both bedrooms and bathrooms)

First the good. The apartment really is lovely- beautifully decorated and clean. The view out of the front windows is absolutely spectacular! The back patio is great as well and the perfect place to hang out on a nice day. Now the middle- more for information purposes and did not impact the rating we gave the stay. It is really more like two separate hotel rooms with a kitchen in between. For that reason there isn’t really any place to “hang out” except the kitchen table or two chairs in one room and one in the other. This isn’t a deal breaker but definitely would have posed a problem if we had spent any more time in the apartment than we did. It is also a TREK with suitcases from the parking area. This is something that we were warned about so not a surprise but I would highly recommend taking them up on the luggage service if you have any doubts about your ability to carry your luggage. We are a very active family and we each had one carryon and one backpack and it was a total workout getting to and from the apartment. Now the not so good. We found the whole experience very impersonal. We have stayed at numerous VRBOs and one of the reasons we choose them is to get a bit more local attention and information. From our very first communication with Claudio we all felt more like we were an imposition than anything else. It felt vey much like a business deal rather than something he actually enjoyed doing. It just kind of left a bad taste in our mouth and made us feel a bit off. If we were to visit Riomaggiore again we would probably look for another apartment to stay in.

We were lucky to be able to get a porter at the station to help with the luggage. If you have more than carry on luggage, you might want to make arrangements for this in advance.

If you drive there is no parking . I wish they would have let us know that we wold have taken a train. There is no privacy in the back bedroom people can walk by and look right into the bedroom

Easy check in with Claudio. The two bedrooms were a great size and well appointed kitchen. Lovely view.

Claudio met us at the trains and walked us over-a brief walk- and we were exploring in no time. The place was very clean, had all we needed and was well situated. Well ventilated despite the intense heat. We were never hot.

The Riomaggiore apartment was in a fantastic location, only 10 minutes or so and 80 stairs (we counted) from the train station. The kind owner met us and walked us all the way up so it was easy to find. While one of the smaller towns, we found Riomaggiore very charming there and had access to everything we needed. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of room for a family of 4. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning and it was hot in the apartment...plus we couldn't leave the windows open because there were mosquitoes. The kitchen was pretty simple; we didn't try to cook in but there was a wine opener :)

You have to climb climb climb to get there and if you’re a heavy packer, that would be a Challenge but Breathtaking views await you in a very large apartment. Riomaggiore is one of the quieter towns in Cinque Terre but we prefer that. The apartment is rustic and beachy. Great to sip wine, eat cured fish, olives, fruit, cheese on the kitchen table overlooking the sea with sea breeze. Didn’t want to leave!
