The location was great. Right beside the old part of town. And easy to drive to other towns from here.

The bar/restaurant seemed expensive compared to others on the street. But the people were very friendly.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and has been very nicely renovated, while still maintaining many of the original features. The rooms were very nice and comfortable with a view to an interior garden.

According to Booking.com there is supposed to be a pool available, when we asked the staff they were completely surprised as there wasn’t a pool. In general, the installations were nice but the staff was very disorganised, unaware and uninterested in helping guests. When we arrived there was no one to assist with the check-in, (the hotel was completely open and no one anywhere to be seen) once we finally were able to find someone to help we were told to take the elevator to our room. We entered as 2 people to the elevator, which proceeded to break between two floors. Trapped inside we were pushing the alarm and no one came to help. We were able to get some cell service and call the other member of our group who was already in their room, who went downstairs to find help while we continued to press the elevator alarm button. A member of staff was found, in the attached bar, watching TikTok videos so loud they couldn’t hear the elevator alarm. There was much confusion as they were calling the owner as it appeared they didn’t know what to do, but at the same time mentioned that it had happened frequently. When we were finally let out we moved everything into our rooms. We never took the elevator again, but we noticed over the following days that the accommodation let other guests continue to use the elevator, but the entire time there was a flashing alarm icon on the outside. This sort of care for guests continued in our whole stay. One of the nights we ate in the restaurant which we had been looking forward to, at the end of the dinner we received a call and when we answered it was a member of the same hotel staff asking for what time we were checking in…we were confused and could even hear an echo through the phone as the employee was calling from the same room…we had to go over and explain that we had already checked in hours previously. For checkout this continued, no staff, and all guests left their keys in a pile on the desk.
