Loved it, super friendly staff and great apartment! Comfy beds and a clean space. Loved the balcony. It's also super close to Mercadona and opposite the beach. Lovely restaurants around too. Great location.

Location is great, Hotel is straight across from the beach. Poolside staff were very friendly and helpful. My parents stayed in another room and their apartment was much more up to date, so it is the luck of the draw. The apartments are obviously privately owned and as I said if you are lucky to get a good one, then your stay will be better. A nice town, with great locals and would go back to Almunecar.
Apartment was very, very dated, one of the wardrobe doors fell off due to wear & tear. I reported this to the reception and to be fair, they couldn't have been nicer about it. There are four lifts, only 2 go to the ground floor, which is awkward if you have a child in a wheel chair. The disabled lift to the poolside was hopeless and you could literally spend 30 mins trying to get to the pool from the first floor. My wife and I ended up carrying the wheelchair to the pool. Pool closes between 3pm and 5pm.
