Very close to the station, clean and comfortable. The wooden bed frames give the dorm a warm, natural feel, and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

Too many beds in the dorm - one person snoring or forgetting to turn off their phone sounds can easily affect your sleep. Breakfast starts at 7:45, so plan accordingly if you have an early train. Towels are not included for free, which is not a big issue, but it’s worth knowing in advance.

The proprietor was very nice and accommodating in regards to lodging.

The staircase has a broken banister that needs to be fixed.

At sixty dollars for a quick, last-minute, single night booking for two people, I found the price to be very reasonable, and free nearby parking is provided across the street. Check out is easy as there are no room keys to worry about, I simply packed up and left. The yakitori restaurant just down the street was superb.

The bunks are small wooden crates with curtains and futons laid out on the bottom, not especially comfortable and not much air circulation. I was awoken at two in the morning to several Chinese guests carelessly chatting at a raised volume and what I could only hear as deliberately stomping around and causing all kinds of noise (I found no difficulty in walking around as normal without making any noise myself). This isn't a reflection of the guest house itself, but just something to keep in mind if booking a bunk here (earplugs are provided free of charge, though they didn't help much in this case)
