Casa Bucegi Busteni

Very polite host. A very kind woman, very calm and understanding. Lots of amenities. A room near the barbacue downstairs that satisfies all your basic needs (MW oven, induction stove, hot water, kitchen sink, plates, knives, spoons, the works). The road noise doesn't disturb the rooms because of how the windows are positioned, towards the back. There are electrical kettles literally everywhere. Daily quality coffee on the house (Lavazza pads and at least two espresso machines). Hot water, working shower, correctly working sewage system. Plenty of heat in the rooms, you could go up to 23'C in the room according to the host.

Insufficient light in the rooms and in the bathrooms. Parking is free, it's very near, but it could be insufficient, I can't say it's guaranteed. There are about 5-6 parking spots right at the national road but they're for everyone. The nearby scenery was sad. Many weathered buildings, noise from the road, crowded, rocky alleys. I knew the old mayor and I reckon he liked more to photoshoot himself with sport athletes rather than trying to invest in some facade work, at least at the national road side. I also didn't like the metallic ladder from the back which ensures access tot he top rooms. The surface isn't studded enough and given the freezing weather, a thin layer of ice easily formed. I slipped in a second and have suffered a knee injury, but I'm not taking off any points for that, I could have been more careful. Though, some studded material would be welcomed over those stairs.

I loved the staff, very polite and friendly, helpful too. We arrived a bit earlier and left after the check-out hour so for the gap time, the lady has been so kind to let us have the luggage at the location. The room was super clean and cozy, we had a family room.

Good size room, RIGHT across from train station which was super nice. Close to lots of restauraunts and within walking distance of most tourist attractions in Busteni. Clean facilities and host was very accomodating. (less relevant but still fun- very friendly cat who lives on property & excellent water pressure which was welcomed after a long travel day)
