The property was easy to find, using the instructions and photos provided by the host. As we were arriving late, we asked if the host could get in some basics for the following morning, before we visited the supermarket. The result was an amazing range of produce ranging from bananas, beer, wine, water, milk, cheese and the list goes on. I have travelled extensively, but I can honestly say this was beyond any expectations. The villa is set on two levels at the end of a pathway from the road, where there was an allocated parking area, sufficient for a small car. The Qashqai we had just fitted. Unusually the bedrooms, bathroom and shower were on the lower floor, with living and cooking areas above, which layout gave vistas to the valley with town and sea in the distance. The villa was adequately furnished for a rental property, with satellite TV, giving access to a mind boggling range of channels in every language. This was actually a niggle as you had so many channels available, trying to find a programme you wanted became tedious, and I never thought I would say that! The bedrooms were cooler, being almost built into the hillside, which, even during the heatwave we experienced, permitted sleep and this was without any fans, though perhaps a fan in the bedrooms and lounge area would have enhanced the experience further. The garden gave sun and shade throughout the day. Suffice to say, we will return sometime in the future.

Stayed here for 9 nights in January 2018. The apartment is of a very high standard with comfortable furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. Everything works exactly as it should and there were none of those ‘functional’ irritations you sometimes get with showers, plumbing, hot water, kitchen equipment etc in holiday lets. The outdoor space is lovely, the upstairs area has amazing views down to the coast and Arrieta and the downstairs area is very private and secluded. Both areas face east/north so get good sun during the day but by mid afternoon were in shade so a bit cool for sitting out on a January evening. We received a warm welcome on arrival and everything we needed to know was explained. After that the owners do not intrude and you have absolute privacy but they are on hand if you need anything during your stay. We loved Tabayesco as a location- there are great tracks for walking and running and you are only a mile from Arrieta for supermarket supplies and nice restaurants. The beach at Arrieta is lovely and the coast north and south is great for a walk. The whole area has a great laid back feel to it, and having briefly visited some of the other resorts in Lanzarote we were very glad of the tranquility of the area we had chosen. Although the village is very quiet you are only 2 minutes from the LZ 1 which can take you at speed to other areas of the island for visiting attractions. We were in Lanzarote for some sun and some birdwatching, and this apartment was great for the latter. We had birds visiting the garden each day and great views of hoopoe, kestrel and cattle egrets from the balcony. During our stay we saw 55 species and at least 20 of those were from on foot excursions in and around Tabayesco. Overall we really enjoyed our first visit to Lanzarote, and this apartment was a significant part of that enjoyment due to its comfort and homely feel. We hope to return one day.
