Nas Villaria Langkawi

Very spacious apartment, close to beach, restaurants and bars, comfortable bed, air conditioning

No cleaning/change of sheets or rubbish collection but as it's a homestay maybe this is usual for this type of accommodation

Simple and basic accommodation. Nice location walking distance to the beach (5min) and the city center (20min).

Upon arrival, I was taken to an extremely hot and humid room. You would think they would anticipate the guest arrival and at least make it nice and cool. I was also told to turn off the air conditioner every time I leave. Now imagine not having the aircon on when it's 35 degrees and you come back after a whole day out in the sun to a hot and stuffy room... Doesn't make any sense. No cleaning during my whole stay (5 nights). Not even the garbage was taken out. No toiletries (shampoo, body wash etc). No water bottles in the room. The tiny sink is in the room next to the bed, no mirror so forget about shaving, make up etc. The shower is on top of the toilet so when you shower the whole bathroom is flooded (including the toilet). Don't forget the toilet paper inside 😆 Lizards were crawling on the walls/ceiling and making sounds at night.

The location is very close to the beach and a lovely café for breakfast. The staff are very kind. It feels very homey and welcoming. You can’t brat the price/quality combination.

Honestly nothing.

Many restaurants, convenience stores, spas, and laundry within walking distance. Check in was easy, and the receptionist was very kind.

Heavy rains during my stay, being in a bungalow style room, it was enough to wake you from sleep. Main road was within steps of the rooms, every truck, motorcycle, and tour buses could be heard passing by. Lots of ants, lizards, frogs find their way into the room, as the gap under the door seem a bit wide. I felt the pillows also need to be replaced, as washed pillow cases will never hide the stench of sweat from years of use. Very sparsely furnished as well, room was as basic as it gets. Perhaps ok for an overnight stay in a pinch, but I'll pass on this one for any long term stays.
