We loved this rustic camping vibe.
The staff was friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in the tents, cooked in the communal kitchen and swam in the lake. Knysna lagoon and buffelsbaai beach is not too far away too. When we didn't feel like cooking, we ate at the local restaurant. We had an awesome family holiday
The closest supermarket was in knysna. So come well stocked if you don't feel like driving out everyday.

The spacious wooden deck under the huge tree with views of the river and mountain and trees as well as the abundance of birds and wildlife and Buffel's Bay just a few kilometres away is perfect. The braai area on the lower level is also an asset.
The restaurant and bar is a good asset as well as the canoes that can be rented.
We stayed in the old cottage (Pomphuis) that included two permanent tents. The accommodation needs urgent upgrading. The gas geyser does not work properly and all the plumbing needs to be replaced. A good, working shower is essential. The extra outside bathroom is a good idea but needs a complete overhaul.
The multiplug in the kitchen needs to be replaced as well as the rusty two plate stove.
The tents need to be replaced with new ones as most of the zips are broken that give creepy crawlies access to your tent. The cottage and property cannot be locked properly when you leave it.. Security and privacy should be improved.
