Service good, warm welcome, home feeling

Good comfortable room. Good bed and room facilities. House seemed to be cleaned.

Owner could be more welcoming. Room was modern but house entrance was very outdated. Towels seemed needing a clean. No water bottle as advertised. No guidance or information regarding breakfast, we left without breakfast.

Good Breakfast not a bad location

Room nicely decorated, TV with Netflix and good WiFi. Nicely done bathroom. The fridge and small freezer was a great addition to the room especially when staying a few days. There was also a microwave and kettle. Haya was helpful and allowed us to have a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave before she served it. Parking on the private drive was good as the road is very narrow.

Not really any cutlery or plates etc so if you were wanting to make yourself more food in your room you would have to take this with you.

The host

The bed was sloped down towards headboard ,pillow was very flat . Not comfortable. The breakfast was not good , 2 eggs on toast , overcooked ,and partners cutlery not clean.

The bathroom was big enough, and the water came out well with no issues. The bathroom was clean as well. Our room was OK. The bed was very comfy, I have a terrible back, but I managed to sleep through the night with no issue. The location was perfect for our drives. The host allowed us to check in 10 mins before the check-in time. We parked our car on the premises with no issues.The bedroom was also specious.

The breakfast was so disappointing as we normally prefer hot food to be saved but unfortunately we were told their licence to serve hot meals was revoked so we did not manage to eat anything as expected. We ended up spending more to buy hot food somewhere else. Also, if you are not so good with burnt essence,this would not be an ideal accomodation as they had them everywhere and they are very strong, my head was paining at one point.

The lady who owns the place is very friendly and it's a nice, quiet part of Birmingham.

It was quite hot in the bedroom so I didn't sleep too well, but I should have just asked if there was a fan I could have borrowed!

Booked and paid for it but they didn’t let us in. They said, they have already informed booking.com that they can’t guest but booking.com I not aware of it. We paid fully but end up find another accommodation also we have to wait another 7 days to get refund

Wonderful bathroom, clean room with good facilities.

Unfortunately not quite enough sockets so that everything could be plugged in at the same time

The room and the house as a whole was beautifully decorated and presented. Very tastefully done. The host was on hand and contactable. She was so friendly, welcoming and went out of her way to assist. Even moved her car for me. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. I can't recommend this guest house enough. 💓🌷

I didn't like sharing a bathroom. I'm too old for this😃 but my fault that I booked that. Next time I will be quicker and book an en suite.

I didn’t get a warm welcome before telling me about demages or what not to use in the house. It was a sad experience for me.

I didn’t like anything at all.

The staff welcome was very warm. the rooms and facilities exceptionally clean and sparkling. Very comfortable with TV facility with Netflix, You Tube etc. Affordable and comfortable accommodation. The rooms are fitted with fridges and you can store food and drinks. Quiet, cool and peaceful environment. Taxi service was excellent and arrived on time and took me to places of interest and preferred destination.

The breakfast could have included some kind of variety and continentality to cater for all tastes. I know that this can be improved and an arrangement made to cater for different tastes.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to be at the hotel, I was late for the check-in as I was at church and didn't look at my phone. When I called the responsible for the hotel she was very rude. (Haya Bukhari) I never had this kind of experience, as a customer I believe she shouldn't have had the attitude she had. I'm very disappointed. I had to find another hotel around 11:30 pm God bless although she had this kind of attitude.

Place was spotless clean every thing you needed including microwave and small fridge. Host was really helpful and polite will be back again really enjoyed our stay bonus Netflix on tv

Spacious room with TV, Netflix, a microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. Possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, with nice, firm pillows.

Paid using booking.com in full and received a 10% discount of the original price. The owner refunded my payment. These were the only things that went well.

Where do I even start. Check in was from 2pm onwards. 5pm the owner contacted me that she was having her doors painted but they were still wet. I presumed the owner was just checking we would arrive and perhaps just a heads up to expect some mess and paint smell so that we wouldn't get a shock when we walked in. However she was actually hoping we would turn up at all and only bothered about any damage we might create by closing a wet door. I told her to expect us around 8pm and not to worry. I thought no more about it. At 8pm we arrived to an open front door no lights on with dust sheets all over the floor and strong smell of paint. I called out and the owner appeared. The very first thing she said was that the paint was still not dry? did not welcome us in any way wasn't happy to see us at all. She stated that she didn't want the doors damaged and we would possibly get paint on our clothes however we could have a look?. I didn't know why we could have a look?, but presumed she wanted to show me why she was behaving so off with us. She said we cant close the doors as it will damaged the paint. I asked when did she expect to close the doors? and at that she got actually angry and asked what did I mean by that?. I was in shock and tired from our day and hungry. I said look were just going to drop our stuff, have a shower then grab some food then on return go to sleep. However she repeated that she didn't want the doors damaged and that maybe we could find out if booking.com could refund us!. She never at any point said sorry for anything or offer any other solution. I saw my partners face and we basically just walked out. She never came out or said another word and we had to drive off and find a normal hotel at double the cost. This account is exactly how it happened. Never had an experience like it and lucky Birmingham is my home town so was able to think fast and booked in with Holiday Inn Express who were wonderful!
