About this house rental

Bright, fun and steps to the beach, this home is great for family gatherings and retreats. Ka Wai Aloha is located in Haena two blocks away from the pristine, aqua waters of Naue Bay and a 20 minute beach walk to Kauai's famous, Tunnels Beach. Haena has one main road that ends at the blue lagoon at Ke'e Beach and the trailhead for the epic Napali Coast hike to Kalalau.

The house features an open floor plan, four bedrooms + bonus room, wrap around lanai, and large back yard. The kitchen was recently remodeled and opens to the dining and living rooms.

The beach path across the street will take you to Naue Bay for swimming, snorkeling and shelling. A 10 minute walk down the beach will take you to Tunnels beach for world class snorkeling, diving and surfing.

If you are looking for fun and adventure or just a little snorkeling and a beach chair, Ka Wai Aloha will be home base for your dream vacation!

My family of 8 had a wonderful stay here. With 5 bedrooms, we each had our own space. The wrap around lanai was our favorite feature. The lush backyard and views of the mountains from here were a welcome addition. The kitchen was well equipped and table for 8 fit us all. Only drawback would be it is a trek to anywhere but the northern reaches. Since those include Tunnels Beach and the Nepali Coast it was an easy inconvenience to overlook.

It was a great size for a large group. Two families of four plus a MIL. 5 adults, 2 children and 2 infants. We were very comfortable. Well outfitted kitchen. Many areas to hang out inside and outside. We didn’t go to the beach walking distance much. But Hanalei, Anini and Hā’ena were all awesome and we went multiple times each. Overall, it’s accessible to a lot of great stuff via short drive. We would go back to this property.

The house is nice, well equipped and a great location. We lost power for about 40 hours due to a wind storm. This was in nobody's control but the management response was disappointing at best. When asked about candles or flashlights, I was told ("Dang!") there used to be some but they must have been removed by earlier guests. No offers to bring us anything to replace the missing flashlights. Interestingly, a neighbor had stopped us earlier in the day as we walked back from the beach to make sure we had flashlights stating that power typically was out with windstorms so we assumed that there would be supplies at the house due to this predictable occurrence. At no point did anyone check in to see how we were coping or if we needed anything and when I asked what the plan would be if the power didn't return, I got no response at all to my inquiry. I love the island but won't return to a property managed by Kauai Palms Real Estate.

We spent a full week in this house, and had an amazing time! We had 9 adults in the house, plenty of space for hanging out on a couple of our rainy days, and 3 showers were plenty for after beaches or days out.

Overall, we had a great stay at this property! The space is much larger and all of the rooms were even nicer than they appeared in the photos. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the beach. They have beach toys, snorkels and masks, and many travel chairs available to use, which made beach outings much more fun and relaxing! The full porch was a wonderful spot to relax, and the fans kept the house comfortable on hotter days. However, we did find that the lack of extra toilet paper and paper towels was a bit inconvenient. We really didn't want to make the drive in to town to restock some. Unfortunately, we had to because the manager did not, being a weekend. Despite this minor issue, we would recommend this rental for its excellent location and comfortable living space. The porch and furniture all around on it made the place for us!

This property was perfect in so many ways. We were a large party and finding a vacation rental with enough bedrooms and bathrooms is challenging for the north shore of Kaua'i. The home is well appointed for the vacation experience, and the wrap-around lanai is really nice to enjoy all of the surroundings. The area beneath the home was a perfect hang out during rainy weather with plenty of space for the adults and kids to enjoy outside of the house, plus you can park under the home which is nice when it rains. We thoroughly enjoyed the home as our base for our Kaua'i excursions and it met all of my family's needs.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our party consisted of 4 adults & 3 kids who spent a total of 10 days at this location and we loved it. The beach was five minutes away by foot, the neighbor was sociable and kind, and it felt like a local spot not too many travel. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were plenty of fans to use if needed, and more than enough towels for beach trips. Loved it!

This house is superb, not just for its location, ample outdoor area and open concept but the thoughtfulness that went into stocking it with everything you could possibly need. We loved that you can walk to a really peaceful beach with swimming access that was a nice break from the crowds at Hanalei Bay. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back in the future!

Aloha! 4 60 something siblings & 3 spouses had a wonderful stay in the “jungle house”. Great walk to a nice beach to float & watch the sunrise. The house is very nice & everyone was comfortable. A few glitches that Krisha took care of right away. We all enjoyed cooking meals in the fully stocked kitchen & there was plenty of spaces & tables to enjoy them. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, goggles, fins…all there to take to the beach. Mahalo!

This home was just as advertised! Clean, spacious, lovely property. Our family, 16-69 yrs, all enjoyed the home and the location. Wrap around porch was so nice, outdoor shower was a huge plus! plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards. Grill was perfect size for 8 of us. Easy check in/out. The county had a water main break, Krisha was a super fast responder to answer questions, offer help.

This property was a dream! When you get to the house there was enough room for three cars to park. There were lots of things around the house that were greatly appreciated. Lots of towels and things in the kitchen you would need. The views were amazing and a great little walk to the beach. There was no AC but you get used to it after a day. The location was absolutely ideal, it is in a quiet little neighborhood and it was just close enough to shops and restaurants. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay and HIGHLY recommend staying here.

We found the property just a described, well laid-out, great kitchen and barbecue, right number of bathrooms for our 10-person family, fantastic wrap around balcony and views. It has a calm semi-rural feel, but is close to basic shopping in Hanalei and Princeville. The use of beach chairs, small boards, snorkeling equipment, made everything so easy and relaxed.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house has everything you need and is in such a beautiful location. Krisha & Gloria were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Only suggestion for improvement is that one of the bedrooms doesn’t have a ceiling fan, but apart from that everything was perfect and there are lots of freestanding fans so we put two in that room. Plenty of space inside for large groups. The big garden (with lemon tree!) and the wrap around lanai were real highlights of the property. We wish we could have stayed longer, thank you

Within a short walk of the beach, and about a mile from Tunnels and Haena beach, and a mile and half to Ke'e, the property is ideally situated for exploring the north shores. For our group of 7, this was spacious, and we could get time apart, as well as time together in the lounge, on the deck or in the kitchen. Super well equipped from the kitchen through to the beach gear shed. We would love to return.

A family of eight from multiple cities met here for week-long stay. We found this property was just the ticket! The home is large, inviting, clean, well-stocked, superbly maintained - basically everything we needed for our stay. The coffee maker's heating element failed mid-stay and I texted Krisha. Voila ... a brand-new coffee maker showed up. Wrap around lanai and backyard mountain views every morning was spectacular. Communications with Krisha was super easy, check in, check out super easy too. Walking distance to great beaches and hiking in Na Pali to Hanakapi'ai Falls. It was great the house had beach chairs, sunshade umbrella, ice chest, etc. This is just a great property. We use VRBO often and this property will not disappoint. Highly recommend.
