Welcome to “Port A Tropical Hideaway”, a beautiful vacation home with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, this two-story home can accommodate up to 6 guests. This rental gem is the ultimate getaway for family and friends with an enclosed upper patio and deck with a large, shaded backyard to allow guests to relax and enjoy.
Located less than a mile from the beach and the marina, this “Old Town” prime location, just off Allister and Cotter access roads lets you explore some of the best Port A attractions has to offer. The property is also within walking distance of some of the area's most sought after restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, music venues, nightlife, art galleries and great shopping. There’s no need to worry about transportation if you’d rather leave the golf carts or vehicles behind.
The city of Port Aransas offers a heated community pool, skate park, basketball courts, baseball fields, playground and beautiful park on the ship channel to watch the dolphins in the evening, all a short drive away.
The backyard and front yard are lovely outdoor spaces with lush landscaping, oak trees, palm trees, and high privacy fences to enjoy. The “Port A Tropical Hideaway” owners have thought of all the details to ensure guests have the best possible experience in the property.

There are two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen, each with a TV. A full bathroom is located between the two bedrooms, with the half bath located off the living and kitchen area. Should you require more sleeping space, the sofa in the living room folds out into a queen.
This home also features an upper deck with a half-moon sofa, coffee table, two chairs, and an outdoor rug, creating the perfect spot to bask in the sun whilst enjoying the scenery. On the lower patio, two loveseats, coffee table, and outdoor rug provide ample space to enjoy your meals with family and friends, store your coolers, chairs, and beach toys. Don’t forget the hot / cold outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.
Ample parking for 2 standard size vehicles in the driveway, 1 standard size vehicle in the garage and parking for 1 standard size vehicle parking in front of the house on the street.
The homes on the property are designed so they can be rented multiple ways depending on the number of guests and rental season. The homes / apartment has separate entrances to each of the upstairs main homes, the downstairs apartment and game room. There are no interior doors or stairways leading to each. We had a great time in Port A! We loved that you can drive on the beach and our dogs loved it too. The house had a fenced in yard that was great for the dogs too. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

When booking this property I had sent a message stating we were coming to fish for the weekend. The day of check in I recieved a text with check in info. While traveling and reading the info it stated no boats or trailers were allowed at the property and other arrangements must be made. NO place in the listing had this information!!! The listing stated there were 3 spots for us to park so we only took one vehicle to make sure we had room to park with the boat even if we needed to drop the trailer. We made arrangements at 11:00 pm when we arrived thanks to friends staying in the area. This 100% should be in the listing not info you receive the day of!!! The house is in a good location tucked away on a side street with very little traffic. It could definently be cleaner as there were large amounts of human hair on the pillows in our bed, while looking for a blanket in the closet I pulled down what appeared to be a urine stained sheet that may have been hidden up there from a previous guest, and we were given 2 bath towels for 4 adults X 3 days. Towels were provided promptly on request. The beds were confortable. Be prepared to do the cleaners job at check out even though you are charged a cleaning fee. You not only have to take the trash to the outside cans but must place the large cans at the road in a specific manor or be charged an extra $50. Load washing machine and start it, load dishwasher and start it, adjust the a/c, the list was longer than I have experienced before.
