The Camogli area was our favorite area in Europe. We all love the water and the views from this rental were the best. There are two terrance's, that look out over a lovely old fishing harbor. The area is filled with old world charm. Cafes, Restaurants, Grocery stores, and the train which takes you to Chinque Terra, Genoa, and even Pisa are a walk away. The down side is that there are lots of stairs. No problem for us but be prepared to climb. No parking near the apartment. Drop off your bags and park by the grocery store. Park within the white lines and you can leave your car there free. The bedrooms were very small and the beds were not very comfortable. I did address a few other concerns I had with the owner and she said she would take care of them. We in America are use to large spaces and things that are new and shiny. This apartment is really very charming with it's lovely built-ins and funky small spaces.

This apartment had everything an American could want. A spectacular view of the harbor and Ligurian Sea, easy access to train and bus, markets, restaurants and shops. We loved the friendly people of Camogli and hated to leave for our sidetrips. Beds and bathrooms well maintained and comfortable, well supplied. A little climb to get up there but what isn't a climb in Italy? We loved it. Also very responsive owner.

Gianna's apartment is incredibly charming with an incredible view from the terrace. Check-in was straightforward and the position is ideal - within easy reach of the train station and the amenities of Camogli, but in an elevated position. It's well appointed, with two bathrooms and everything you would need. For those with kids, there's even a small children's playground within a couple of minutes, which was an unexpected bonus. Speaking personally, I would love to come back at a different time of year, since even the end of August proved a little too hot for me! I would also make sure I brought some strong anti-mosquito spray with me (I bought some in Camogli but it wasn't entirely effective).

Nice appartment, but some practical disadvantages

The appartment in a nice tipical building is right in the center of Camogli. The terrace with view is probably the best part of it. We were there in a hot August week and it was to warm for most of the day on the terrace so we had to have our siesta inside with all shutters closed. No moscito screens to facilitate open up all windows at night for a cool down. The appartment is advertised for five persons but bed nr 5 is on a foldable coach in living room. Description is not very clear on that point. Well equiped kitchen. Good shower. Responsive and cooperative owner. Parking is a problem. We unloaded near the house and had to take away the car immediately and park it a 15min walk away uphill so left it there the rest of the week. No way you will find a parking place closeby. Camogli is quite touristical with a crowded beach but very scenic. If that is what you are looking for, you a right in the middle of it in this house. Probably the experience will be better if you are not in the high summer season.

My wife and I have traveled in Italy quite a bit. And have been surprised to find a lot of IKEA furniture and not great taste! This house in Camogli is the opposite. Every detail has been added to this house with love. It’s like stepping into a movie set of 1950s Italy. And that movie set includes the picturesque town that can be seen outside these windows. It’s close to everything. It was a wonderful place to stay we hope to come back someday.

The house was good, not great. My overall impression is that there could have been some upgrades in the home to improve my overall review. I would have liked better towels, a new shower curtain, fresh soaps in the kitchen and baths and, most importantly, a mattress that one could sleep on. Camogli is a lovely location, but there are a lot of steps and hills to climb. We were able to do so, but others may not be so they should be made aware. While the house has a view of the sea, it should be mentioned that the view is over a boatyard, which can be noisy. Overall, our experience was good, not 5 star.

Fantastic - the best place to live in Camogli which is our favorite city in Italy.

Great location, Fantastic View, Good supplies, close to everything and helpful owner/staff. Gianni was great to get us in when we had a 5 hour delay due to Firenze airport closure and she arranged for us to get a parking permit with a friend which helped greatly as parking is a big problem in good weather and on weekends when all Italy comes to the beach. Loved it.

We spent 6 days in this wonderful home overlooking the Camogli Marina. Enjoyed our time on the balcony watching the sunset with a bottle of wine. The home met all our needs and was decorated with an artsy flair. Not fancy but homey. Very convenient to the boardwalk, restaurants and to the ferry boat to go port hopping along the coast. Would definitely return again.

An absolute unique place to stay in Camogli

We stayed in the apartment for whole two weeks and have fallen in love with it and the surroundings. The apartment has 2 stores. All rooms, bathrooms, kitchen were perfectly clean and equipped with everything we needed, true to its description. Annarita was so welcoming and kind that we relaxed at once and enjoyed our stay from the first moment even though we were exhausted after a long trip. The best thing about the flat which is not clear enough from the advert is the charming terrace: spacious, airy, covered with greenery to protect from the sun, with a view of the sea and yachts just a few meters away, lighted enough to be a romantic spot at night. We spent there most of the time while indoors drinking wine, eating cheese and olives dripping with oil, chatting, relaxing, watching sunsets, making plans for tomorrows. The house itself situates perfectly to my liking: on a quiet street which goes along the shore, it is 10 min from the center of the town, shopping streets and a rail station, 5 min from the public and private gravel beaches, 10 min from supermarkets. And all walks were so cheerful and easy among bright houses of Camogli! There is a ferry stop just a few steps away which would take you to other fine spots of Portofino. We walked from Camogli to Punta Ciappa and got back by ferry comfortably. Wherever you go from your door you pass plenty of nice little restaurants with fresh local sea food and bars with a relaxing atmosphere (just be sure to have your lunch before 14 o'clock as most of them closes for siesta till 19 30). Stop at Pachanka bar (1 min from the house) and chat with its kind-hearted owner, Garazi, who would make you a cocktail in accordance with your mode, likes and local specialities. And after a morning swim be sure to visit a Spaghetti place on your way back home which offers an unforgettable traditional pasta. It takes about 40 min to Genoa city center by train. We went there trice to see the city, to shop, to visit an Aquarium. But in all earnest we didn't want to leave Camogli and our home without a good reason. So it was a time for peace and sunny dreams for us. We'd love to come back if future permits.

Camogli was as always a wonderful host. On top, we had the great appartement of Gianna with a more than amazing view and a unique terrace overlooking the harbour and then nothing but Mediterranean sea. Michela who is in charge of the keys was very friendly, thoughtful and helpful. She even helped us save our car from being towed away due to newly set up streetwork. The appartement had everything we could wish for. The two completely equipped bathrooms were very relaxing for us two couples and Michela even made a doublebed out of the two singles in the second bedroom. All in all the perfect appartement for four people.

Camogli ist ein reizendes Städtchen mit einer pittoresken Hafenatmospäre. Zahlreiche Restaurants und Bars säumen die autofreie Promenade, bergseitig begrenzt durch typische Architektur mit bis zu 7 Stockwerken. Die Stadt ist nicht derart überlaufen wie die Nachbarstädte Rapallo, S. Margherita und Portofino. Viele Ziele in der Umgebung sind mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar, insbesondere Genua. Camogli hat ein Verkehrsproblem, die Suche nach einem legalen Parkplatz ist ein tägliches Abenteuer und ist oft mit längeren Fussmärschen verbunden. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und zweckmäßig, teilweise stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche ist leider sehr beengt und lässt ei gemeinsames Kochen nicht zu. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse über den Hafen auf das Meer und die ligurische Küste bis nach Genua ist beeindruckend, wird allerdings durch einen nur etwa 20 m vom Gebäude entfernt stehenden Kran einer Werft geschmälert.

Wonderful place in a pittoresque italian environment

The venue is located above the harbour of Camogli with a breathreaking view over the mediteranian sea. On a clear day -and we had some- you could see the the snowy mountains of the italian alps 120 kilometers away. At night, the lights from the cost-line to Genua were wonderful. In the house, the whole equipment for cooking is there. The bathrooms were clean, the living room has also a wonderful view over the sea. The venue is a 5-10 minutes footwalk away from the bakery, the alimentari, the next coffeee bar and the next restaurant.
