About this house rental
Coopers Knowe House sleeps up to 10 in five spacious double bedrooms, each of which has its own en suite. Sitting directly on the shores of Lochailort, a sea loch in the Scottish Highlands just north of the Ardnamurchan peninsular, about 30 miles from Fort William, our location is perfect for those with a passion for the outdoors: for those who enjoy walking, sea kayaking, fishing, exploring on foot, on the water or in a car. But the house and the area will also be enjoyed by anyone seeking to relax in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful setting. The property has been designed to take full advantage of the stunning local scenery and there are breath-taking views from more or less every window. The house sits on its own private estate of some 60 acres. There is a pebble beach directly in front of the house and another with white sand a short walk away. Guests enjoy fixtures and furnishings of a very high standard as well as a choice of two sitting rooms, a dining room, breakfasting kitchen and a games room complete with pool table with table tennis top and additional TV. Day trip options include Skye, the small isles of Rhum, Eigg and Muck, a tour of the Ardnamurchan peninsular and for the Harry Potter fan a journey on the Jacobite Steam Train over the Glenfinnan viaduct. Within a short drive of the house there are a number of fantastic inns, restaurants and hotels providing good food ranging from traditional pub fare to fine dining.

Absolutely fabulous house beautifully situated against the loch with stunning views. Truly wonderful host who was very responsive and patient with enquirers. Superb information provided ahead of time described everything about the house and the places to visit. Expansive accommodation perfect for families and friends. Red deer in the trees nearby and fish eagles soaring in the sky. Beds very comfortable and the outside spaces (weather allowing) perfect for end of day cocktails watching the sun set on the local and impressive hills. Close to Ferry ports to reach the inner Hebrides and small isles. Quiet, private and definitely the perfect holiday accommodation

This is a really special place, both the location and the house itself.It's so comfortable and well equipped and great for a family group. Having good public rooms means there is plenty space for socialising. The ground floor bedroom was ideal for my elderly father and the rest of us were very happy with our bedrooms and en-suites.The outside space is fabulous, being able to walk along the beach and enjoy the stunning scenery was a real treat for the humans and the dogs.Looking forward to a return visit.
