Brandhof - Chalet am Berg

A stunning and perfect chalet in the most beautiful location. We really wanted to traditional chalet experience in Austrian mountains and this property was simply amazing. Beautiful property, quaint and traditional but in a good way. There were two of us in the smaller property and it felt large and well equipped. The property was super clean and very comfortable. Access was on a private road but we only had a small automatic car and were fine on this road in July, just be cautious. We met one of the property owners at a hotel in the town to collect the key cards to access through barrier. We were then met by the property again by their partner and shown around. Hosts were excellent and friendly. Everything very well organised and stress free. They own also the Brand Alm "pub" next door. You can also order bread , milk, cheese and other basics from them. We came equipped with everything so didn't need to utilise this but good to have this option. There is a deli in the town that has local to Styria produce, so also recommend this when staying. The location is breath taking. I don't think you could get a more perfect vista given the access by car. It is close to plenty of hiking trails and mountain huts and aprox 30 minute walk to the gondola for the glacier (recommend getting first gondola up and walking to the Seethalerhutte). Water and wifi were excellent. I would suggest bringing your own toiletries.

You are one of two properties, we stayed in the smaller one. If there is a large group in the larger one it is less peaceful than expected. The property is also next to a child play park which was in use till sunset on some nights. We expected a quieter more peaceful environment in the evenings. The chalet is still 10/10 and location 10/10 but perhaps less peaceful and calm than expected during our stay.

Amazing location and the chalet is just incredible. The hosts were very friendly and We definitely consider going back.

Die Lage in der Natur und die schöne Holzhütte .

Wir hatten eines der Chalets für ein Wochenende gemietet und die Zeit dort war mehr als überragend. Die Hütte ist super gelegen und man kann von dort aus einige schöne Touren gehen. Direkt neben der Hütte befindet sich die die bewirtete Brandalm, wo man zusätzlich super essen kann. Die Gastgeberin war super nett und der Check-In war problemlos. Nächstes Mal werden wir einen längeren Aufenthalt planen.
