Nuru Ziya Suites

Its a hotel boutique style in a full-of artistic shops/coffee place neighbourhood, just a stone away from Istiqlal street! We had 2 rooms, one delux suite and one delux double. Tbh, the doubl room had nicer larger kitchen area and bathroom! But the suite had bigger living-room space with round table in the middle to sit and enjoy a meal together. The kichenete has everything you need and the staff were helpful enough to give you anything that might be missing. Location is very good in European side /touristy spot in Istanbul, 15min walk to either Taksim or Sishane metro station, as well as Galata Port , and Tophane luas . Breakfast was very nice but could get boring if you are there fore more than a few days! They have a gym too! I thought it was a joke but bring your gym gear and enjoy the amost-always empty small gym! Staff were all very helpful, friendly, and nice. In particular, we were dealing more with Sahel who was such a charming lovely character, with loads of suggestions as where to go and what to do and eat etc. They were all ready to help wih any issues you might raise, which was a great comfort! The budget supermarket skor is also 5 minutes down the hill.

The house keeping was very inconsistent. We found loaded bin bag left beside the shower sink once! But when we reached out to the reception, they were fast to act upon and send cleaning staff to do the rooms immediately or we had to get clean towels/shampoo from reception ourselves (when they had missed the cleaning-request card). The area around is sooooo steepy and hilly! :) with 70° angle! And its the same in paralel alleys, so gear up for some good walks and hill climbing. The downhill will get you to the sea and GalataPort and Luas. The uphill will get you to istiqlal street. Make sure to spend time to explore the horizental hills with their lovely tiny art-y shops!

A lot of space for 4 persons and our luggages. Friendly and polite staff. Good location near Istiklal.

The kitchen in the room needs renovation. It was uncomfortable to use it, but it was an advantage for us to have it at all. The sofa was strange, almost on the floor, no opportunity to sit, only to lie. The towels were clean, bathroom was comfortable (everything you need). Sometimes a little noisy from the street but using earplugs helps. Breakfast was really good and tasty but Please do not open outdoor when someone is smoking outside and the other having breakfast inside. I have chosen this hotel because of the location and the kitchen. Good value for money!
