The location is between the beautiful San Michelle Villa and town. A safe walking path across the road can connect you to the shops and downtown. It is also a way you can get to the fancy Caesar Augustus restaurant and spa. We splurged and paid for a pool one sunny day there. It’s equidistant from the town, bus stops and The beautiful vista of San Michelle. Staff is friendly and helpful and goes beyond to answer questions you may have.
I liked that it’s a traditional old hotel with all the eccentricity’s that comes with it. Still family owned. It’s a three star, so don’t expect more. The rooms were clean, nice size, great balcony and there is a laundry service, drinks in the fridge and a full breakfast. The view is beautiful. I was worried about overlooking the sports complex but decided that it was a wonderful way to watch the locals. Would stay again.
The grass had not been cut in the back side of the hotel.

Close to the Anacapri bus stop,
Quiet, best spot to watch sunset. Having spent a few days on the island, I highly recommend staying in Anacapri, there is a direct bus from the port to Anacapri, (€2.4) Less crowded, and more relaxing. Still plenty of restaurants and shopping.
Lots of mosquitos in the garden outside the room.

Since the hotel is high on the cliff, the view on the sea is beautiful. The location in anacapri is good. There are buses to the beach and the center every 15min which cost 2.70€.
The room was not isolated at all, they have standard home type doors. Some young noisy guests were disrespectful until 1am and did not respond positively to my 3 attempts to reduce the noise; there was no one at the reception at that time to help even though booking.com shows 24/24h. I tried to call by phone and ring the reception bell, without sucess. The following night the hotel staff did not agree to move them as it would be a downgrade and asked me to move to another room.
(The beds have low quality blanket.)
The quality of the breakfast is very average, with nothing fresh except some fruits and hard boiled eggs (the breads, juices and spreads are pretty low quality and artificial/preserved).
I asked the staff what beach to go, they informed me that Marina piccola wouldn’t have sun in the afternoon, which I still explored on the third day and it was super sunny until 4.30pm with nicest beaches than the 3 others I visited.
When living I asked the staff for a taxi. The driver they sent did not accept to get the fixed legal rate to the ferry station and double the rate (40 euros instead of 22); I refused and he was keeping my luggage until I would pay! I almost missed my boat. This was not the hotel fault but yet they could have better local contact.
