Apartamentos Marvela

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The apartment was beautiful, very clean, modern, and comfortable, and the location is ideal, just a short walk from the old town of Lagos. The reception staff were kind and helpful.

Our main disappointment was the room. We specifically paid for a sea-view studio, but were given a ground-floor studio with a view mainly of the street and only a very limited glimpse of the sea. Being on the ground floor also meant more street noise and a greater sense of being exposed, with less privacy and security than we would have expected from a more elevated studio. This made the experience feel less luxurious than we had expected, especially considering the price we paid. We feel that the ground-floor studios should be priced differently from the studios on the higher floors, particularly when guests are paying extra for a sea view. The shared terrace was lovely and helped make up for the limited view from the studio, but it didn’t completely compensate for the difference.

Fantastic accom! View was great, location incredible, but the accom was lovely. Having our own balcony & the rooftop - such a beautiful place. Super clean & spacious. Great value for $. Supermarket & restaurants all so close!

Neighbor in next room smoked on the balcony, so it was hard to enjoy the balcony at times due to this.

Location. View was good but not great in the bottom apartment.

Although the apartment was clean and smart (if you like minimalism) there were issues in the bathroom. The choice of materials used (concrete floor/hard rendered walls and wooden sink surround) in the original build have not proved robust. Lots of smudges/stains and a general feel of shabbiness was evident. However, I believe the bathroom was cleaned satisfactorily despite appearances.
