DIDDLY SQUAT TOUR

quiet, well maintained, efficient and comfortable accommodation.

No wi-fi and shower water temperature was a challenge not to get either very cold or burning hot.

Overpriced and undelivered

The cabins are in a nice area of the Cotswolds called Broadway which has a lot to do and nice shops etc. The beds were really comfortable.

I didn't like the communication from the owner. I was messaged several days before with an itemary of items. Whilst we was staying there he emailed me on my second night to tell me to wash everything up and ensure I hadn't taken anything basically. I wouldn't mind the items in the lodge were not exactly good condition and were very used. I used most of my own things anyway! I didn't like getting messaged whilst i am trying to enjoy my time and I don't want someone telling me what to do and breathing down my neck. Also the shower was quite dirty and did not drain, so there was a strong smell of sewage during our stay. I felt that the lodge was marketed in a tranquil location however you are on a campsite and sitting out at night was noisy as you could hear every other person. I felt that they were really overpriced for what it was. I wouldn't recommend. Also the doors are so heavy and slam shut so really not good if you have little ones like we did!

Brilliant stay, parking, fans, good location

Brilliant lodge, was 27’c and thought it would be a sauna- was lovely and cool, fan in every room. Had fridge and freezer, washing up liquid, towels, ample parking and very easy to find. Pubs 2 min away to eat in and owner easy to get hold of. Recommend this. We stayed here to go to RIAT air show about an hour drive.

If you like camping but want a bit more luxury then this is the place for you - will definitely return!

Surprisingly nice and comfortable. Was a really hot weekend but fans were provided in both bedrooms as well as the lounge which was a lovely touch and made sleep bearable. Beds very comfortable and water pressure good in shower. Staff very responsive when I messaged about the hot water (just needed to turn the boiler on!). Site was very quiet. Liked the no noise policy between 10-8. Easy walk into Broadway to pubs and restaurants. Parking easy outside the chalet.

Oven took quite a while to cook - may have been the tin foil on the metal grilles? Nothing else - it had everything you needed.

Overall, a lovely and peaceful stay in a great location – just a few small touches could have made it even better.

There weren’t any basics like tea, milk, or shower gel provided. As the nearest shops aren’t very close, a small amount of these essentials would have been appreciated. Given the price, which is in line with hotels or Airbnbs, it feels like a reasonable addition.

Lovely lodge that combines rustic and modern.

The lodge was comfortable and well laid out. It's in the countryside, so it's really peaceful. We could park right in front. We were luck to get a great sunset. The windows were modern and convenient.

There was no wifi, so it might be important to know for some people. Also, it would be great to add a privacy curtain in the bathroom!

60th birthday outing

A group of 6 of us hired 3 chalets for 2 nights. Great outdoor space where we could socialise. Excellent location for our planned cycle ride. Excellent communication from Justin.

The rooms were hot as it was a hot day. The fans certainly helped to circulate the air. Perhaps a catch to keep the front door open would be good.

The location was lovely, very tranquil. The lodge was beautiful. Lots of options for sitting in or outside. Very idyllic

The lodge was so hot and we didn’t want to have the windows open as it was hot but windy so they were blowing back and forth. The front door has no possible way or being hooked open which really would have been nice and this would have kept the lodge cool

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge, which was well appointed and comfortable.

We only have a few small suggestions: the shower spray bracket was a bit loose, and adjusting the water temperature required a bit of patience. Additionally, we noticed that there isn't a direct footpath from the lodge into the village; however, it seemed like this could be easily arranged.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting, 15 minutes walk (max) from Broadway centre

Kitchen facilities - great. Bathroom facilities - good. Bedrooms - great

Chalet #2: Bathroom door is hung too low and jams when opening the door outwards - an accident waiting to happen if someone is passing by in the lounge/dining area! Bathroom windows fitted with plane glass instead of frosted glass (for privacy) - isn't that contrary to building regulations?! Chalet #1: No emergency equipment provided eg,fire blanket or torch

The lodge was very nice, it has very nice view and it was very clean. The location was nice too, only a few mins to broadways centre. We had a great time here, my little one was in tears when we left, he wanted to come back again, and we will. :)

Quite and secluded with great facilities and the odd steam train passing by.

Lodge was very easy to find and entry instruction clear and emailed prior to arrival. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen facilities compact and easy to use. Dining area was great and the settee very relaxing. Outdoor space captured the evening sun which was a great entertaining space.

Only minor thought as an area for improvement, whilst accepting this is self catering accommodation it would have benefitted from provision of tea & coffee welcome pack - especially if you forgot to bring them! Also may be salt & pepper.
