Painful

The owner had not informed us that there was a concrete panel of about 4 cm thick lying on the floor. It was right in the walking path in the apartment. This panel was hardly visible and was placed there to cover up a big hole that needed maintenance. Unaware of the concrete plate, I hit it hard with my toe while walking in the apartment. This accident hurt really bad and now, 2 months later, my toenail is still black from this collision. I informed the owner about the accident and how much it hurt. He told me the concrete plate was there to cover up a hole and did not apologize for the inconvenience that was caused due to his neglect. When we left, I mentioned the accident again to him. Again there was no apology by him. I told him that if I had caused an injury through my neglect that I would always at least apologize. After that he hesitantly produced an apology but apparently did not understand why he would have to do so. It seemed to me the response a child could that is totally unaware of its responsibility. I was very dismayed about the lack of an adult and responsible reaction by the host. Besides the concrete plate on the floor there were other dangerous situations in the apartment that could easily lead to serious accidents. Chairs were placed close to an unprotected edge next to a space that was 1 meter lower. Falling over the edge could have very serious consequences. When leaving the apartment the owner demanded a tourist tax that needed to be paid in cash. The guests that did not have cash thus needed to go and look for a money machine before they could leave. The owner should have arranged this payment though booking.com or have informed the customers ahead of time. In retrospect it is my impression that the owner is not capable of creating good customer safety nor good customer contacts. He lacks empathy and is irresponsible when it comes to the safety of his customers. I obviously would never book with him again and would warn future customers

Very pleasant, cosy stay. Lovely area for walking and near to shops.

The location was excellent for our needs. The accommodation was clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was very good. Our host was contactable by text and he was available to meet us.

We would have liked a double quilt on the double bed instead of two single quilts. There were plenty of towels available in the bathroom, but they were all hand towels. We would have liked to have some shower/bath towels.

Charming with a few surprises

Unique and charming building. Lots of space in the apartment. Convenient to the American Cemetery in Margraten.

Extra tourist tax charged AFTER our stay upon check-out, collected in cash, even though we thought we paid all the fees through booking.com prior to our stay. One cereal bowl in the whole apartment. No condiments (salt, pepper, sugar, etc.). Towels were very scratchy. You had to climb in the master bed from the bottom of the bed as there was no space on either side. Other than that, it was great.

Great place for a quiet stay, furniture and decorations a little dated.

Easy to find, responsive host, wonderfully quiet place to stay, close to Aachen, Maastricht and Margraten war cemetery, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi, nice outdoors area, 2 bathrooms which made our stay more comfortable.

Smell of old smoke in the apartment, hitting our heads repeatedly on the sloped ceilings in the top-floor bedroom and bathroom; very stern tone of the house rules. It sounded like the host had had bad experiences with previous guests and was trying to pre-empt any problems. The rules themselves were fine, they could just have been worded more politely.

The property was described as ‘luxury’ - really !!! It was chilly, ‘tired’ ( v old sheets/duvets/towels) , it was drab - awful artworks/v bare walls/v little cooking prep space - like a hostel room.

Great location good for walking hiking and bike riding

Location and quiet...it was a beautiful area goo or hiking and biking

The apartment was really nice and very clean. We had #5 with balcony and it was so nice to sit in sunshine enjoying morning coffee. Very quiet location with private parking. Not far from bus stop to Valkenburg and Maastricht. We really have no complaints other than the fact that we couldn't stand completely upright n shower because of slanted roof but that was a minor inconvenience. All in all it was great stay and very nice host!

Charming spacious house and garden

We loved the space. We stayed in apartment 2 and it was very spacious, much more that expected. - Beautiful house with high ceilings and original features - Fully equipped kitchen, - Large sunny garden (we actually ate outdoors even if it was supposed to be very cold, the garden is protected from the wind and it was very pleasant). -Bathtub, - Location:Walks in nature, town center and other beautiful villages very close by

Pity that the wood burner cannot be used. The beds are situated in a very strange location, with no windows... The towels were very small

A basic stay, good enough, but don't expect luxury

Pretty good location, not too expensive. All basic needs are there, WiFi is good.

It was not really a double bed, and the beds were worn. Also the towels were small, smaller than you would expect. The foto's on booking.com show more apartments, not all facilities on the foto's were available.

Prima accommodatie voor de prijs met enige verbeterpunten.

Ruim appartement (nr4) met parkeerplaatsen achterom. De andere appartementen hebben we niet gezien dus daar kunnen we niets over zeggen. Alles was netjes en schoon. Rustige ligging met een supermarkt op loopafstand. Alles wat je nodig hebt is er wel zo ongeveer. Vergelijkbaar met een huisje op een Landal park.

Keuken en interieur zijn erg gedateerd. Geen smart tv aanwezig. Netflix ed was dus geen optie. keuken aanrecht is ontzettend laag en niet meer van deze tijd. met afwassen leverde dit nogal problemen op terwijl mijn partner en ikzelf niet overdreven groot zijn. Geen stopcontacten naast het bed om je telefoon of zo op te laden snachts.

Dit was onze 2de keer op deze locatie en weer beviel het uitstekend. Joey reageerde goed op een aanpassing aan onze kant door overmacht, wat heel prettig was. Het huisje voldeed weer helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Fijne plek.

Zonder te willen zeuren hoor, maar zoals anderen ook schreven, een paar wat grotere handdoeken zou fijn zijn. En misschien een douchegordijn.

Zwischen Maastricht und Aachen

Super saubere, ruhig gelegene geräumige Wohnung mit bequemen Betten und schönen Terrassen. Es waren ausreichend Handtücher vorhanden, wenn man aber ein Bade- oder Duschtuch haben möchte, sollte man es mitbringen; ebenso Haartrockner und Handseife. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr gut erreichbar. Parkplätze stehen auf dem Grundstück zur Verfügung.

Das Mobiliar ist teilweise schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Dejlig stor lejlighed, køkkenet havde alt hvad vi skulle bruge. Værelserne var en fin størrelse og det badeværelser på hver “etage”. Venligt ejer, fik mega hurtigt svar når jeg havde spørgsmål.

Er hat uns noch extra Handtücher und einen Müllsack gebracht - unkomplizierter Late Check out gegen Aufpreis (25 Euro) - gute Bus Verbindung nach Maastricht und Valkenburg - super gut vor dem Haus geschmückt Es war ein super schönes Wochenende 🤗 vielen Dank

Vriendelijke host die goede instructies vooraf gaf en ook tijdens het verblijf uitstekend bereikbaar was voor vragen. Hij kwam zelfs even persoonlijk langs om mij welkom te heten. Huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, ruim en comfortabel.

Goede, rustige,- en centrale locatie; ruim appartement; grote keuken met voldoende potten/pannen/bestek; vriendelijke en makkelijk bereikbare beheerder.

Matras lijkt aan vervanging toe; opknapbeurt slaapkamer zou geen kwaad kunnen; wifi niet optimaal.

Heerlijke dagen in prachtige omgeving.

De host was erg vriendelijk en hartelijk. Kort van tevoren contact opgenomen met de vraag of we wat eerder bagage al kwijt konden en toen mochten we er gewoon al eerder in; super.

Wij waren er tijdens de herfst en er was helaas niet veel daglicht in het appartement. Met mooi weer is er wel een leuke buitenzit.
